Southcreek winds through a magnificent setting of coastal wetlands and hardwood forests. Most golfers find SouthCreek to be the "finess" course of the three golf courses at Myrtle Beach National. At just over 6,400 yards from the back tees, SouthCreek requires less distance but greater accuracy. Numerous waste areas and well protected bentgrass greens, place a premium on your course management and shot-making ability.

South Creek Course is Fun

Pace of play was good, just under 4 hrs, greens were very good, speed was fast and receptive. Course layout has a good mix of holes with water in play on more than half of the holes.

Some areas of the fairways and rough were a very wet.

Great course

It’s a tight course that if managed well will reward you. The greens were lightning fast and well manicured. Fairways had some wet spots where you got your occasional mud ball but nothing severe.

South Creek

Played south creek today and was very disappointed with the conditions, the greens were great the fastest we had played on all week but the state of the fairways was terrible they were so wet that the grounds crew couldn’t cut them , I had played the north course before and remember that course being great , I definitely wouldn’t recommend South Creek .

Sloppy Wet Ohhh Joy... Positive Review :-)

Can't believe the business even sent us out to play. On the second hole we met a foursome driving back to the club house saying it was so wet they couldn't find their balls, THEY HAD TO STOP. Well Im kind of stubborn, I PAYED $70.00 BUCK FOR THIS ROUND AND I WAS GOING TO GET MY MONEYS WORTH (I did), thinking they wouldn't send us out if it was that bad! The first couple of holes were soft, really soft, kinda thought it would get better. It got worse, much worse. Lost three tee shots stripped straight down the middle, never found the balls, obviously plugged laying about 270 - 280 yards down the center... Still can't believe they allowed play that day. Just a grab for money...Getting $140.00 bucks from a couple of vacationers. Obviously they don't care much about the South Creek Course fairways. We did play cart path only, lift clean and replace but we really had no business even walking out into many fairways. They should have been marked and shut down.Nothing marked to stay off fairway. just let everyone walk through where ever they wanted. Sad thing is that you couldn't tell how soft it was until you put your feet in the ground, left tracks all over the place. The management said it was good enough to play so we played, grass was good and green. First time I ever had to take a shower at the end of a round due to how muddy I was.. Nice small showers in the club house. Took the shower with cleats on, washed my legs, washed the cleats and threw away the socks. The highlight was that the greens were in great shape. I guess they just needed the money. Had a really good time despite the conditions, played well too. LOL. Friendly staff nice facilities. would go back after dry spell but will look for alternative courses next trip, Been going to the Myrtle Beach area for 30 years. Just like playing different courses out there. Always memorable. Get to laugh about this sloppy wet round. I like to look at the positive side, got to play... I don't really recommend during the rainy season but I would go back if nothing else was open. Memorable :-)

Great course

The course was great. We played after several days of rain so it was swamp. But if not for the rain it would be a very fun course. Its a fairly short and easy layout but fun.

Golf is Great!

Our overall experience was wonderful. The pace was slow because there were too many golfers booked too close to each other. We had to slow our pace to wait for the group in front of us. The group behind us were in such a hurry they forced us to do a scramble in order to reduce our stress. We were in Myrtle Beach sand the weather was wonderful.

Enjoyed the atmosphere and feel at this course

I really enjoyed my days gofing here. The greens were in great condition, although it did take a few holes to get the feel for the pace. My only criticism is about the tees. I felt that the divots on the tees were not filled in enough. Consequently, this left lots of hollows on the tee.

Slowwwww greens

Nice place.

Cheaper price point than it’s on site partner kings north.

Good golf but the greens are super slow compared to some other places in Myrtle.

Myrtle Beach National-South Creek

Course was in great shape and starter was very friendly. The only problem was the pace of play was slow due to the group in front of us. They rode around to each others ball and waited for that person to hit and one of them in particular brought several items on the green every single time which meant it took him way more time than it should when they walked off.
