River Oaks Golf Club
About
River Oaks Golf Club stretches across more than 800 scenic acres along the Intracoastal Waterway. The Course begins with the shortest of the three nines and finishes with the longest. The final hole on the front nine presents one of the most interesting risk-reward opportunities on the golf course. You can aim for the right bunker for an open shot at the green or try a long drive down the left side for a short approach. River Oaks Golf Clubs' Otter nine has several challenges in store including mounding, strategically placed bunkers, and tricky water hazards.

Everything was perfect. Staff was great, course looked terrific
Been here numerous times and have never been disappointed the course lays out great for the average to better players and all will enjoy it
Great value
Course was in great shape other than the bunkers. Bunkers have drainage issues but we were warned of that prior to our tee time. Well worth the GN price.
River oaks in mrytle beach
River Oaks is a fun course to play. Have recommended it to others and they agree with me. But do not use the map it on the golf now email. It doesn’t work. I ended up driving to no man land . Before realizing that it was taking me to nowhere near the course. I then put in the address to the course myself and got to the course an hour late. Luckily River Oaks accommodated me and gave me a new tee time. After my ordeal, l had an enjoyable time.
Golf now
River oaks is a good choice for your time in Myrtle beach. But do not rely on GolfNow map it option on your email.. Did the map it and it took me on a hour drive away from the course. Making me an hour late for my tee time. Ever oaks accommodated with a new tee time with no hassle. I am contemplating deleting GolfNow from my phone and trying a new app.

Play this course
What I saw
Wide fairways with a grass cushion. Consist sand trap sand . Very nice putting surfaces. Well placed water hazards.
Much improved
Was not looking forward to playing this course as we remember how it was 5 years ago however the course is much nicer than it used to be. They no longer have the Bear course and I can't say I miss it. Overall, I'd definitely play here again for the price point.
River Oaks Golf
Everyone at the course was very friendly - inside and out.
Great course to enjoy a fun round of golf
The price golf courses this time of year is very high. This course had a price that was better than other courses in Myrtle Beach. A ranger should not allow a slow group to be fine with the pace of play if the group in front of them have a hole open in front of them. Sloths behind sloths should not be allowed to hold up faster players and make other golfers wait on every hole for a 5 hour round. But other courses have this same problem, so I guess playing multiple shots to keep loose is better than not enjoying the round.
