River Oaks Golf Club stretches across more than 800 scenic acres along the Intracoastal Waterway. The Course begins with the shortest of the three nines and finishes with the longest. The final hole on the front nine presents one of the most interesting risk-reward opportunities on the golf course. You can aim for the right bunker for an open shot at the green or try a long drive down the left side for a short approach. River Oaks Golf Clubs' Otter nine has several challenges in store including mounding, strategically placed bunkers, and tricky water hazards.

Needed a practice course and this fit the bill. Challenging enough and pretty.
Good day at River Oaks
Played here early April and the coarse was in good shape, especially the greens as they ran true. Fairways were in good shape for this time of year and the tee blocks were fine.
Good value for the money which was $62:00 US
Being Canadian playing golf in April is a treat and a head start for the season
Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.
My only critique would be to update the carts to electric.from the antique gas models.

Best course we played during our trip
Course was in great condition. We do not see a lot of green rough in this area. This course had the best grass we’ve seen. Cheaper than other courses too and better in my opinion. Lots of fun
Nice course
Played early, two of us, played in 3.5 hours. Course is in real nice shape, greens were very good.
Would definitely return, even if the ride over the bridge is a little crazy! Just lean on the brakes!
express vacation
my son and I played two rounds of golf during a three day vacation. The staff were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. I have nothing bad to say about the golf course. The pace of play was slow due to the wet conditions. I cannot fault the golf operations for this.

Nice course to play with wife. Fairways and greens in good condition. No rough to stop errant shots. Would play again on next visit.

Always liked the layout here I just wish they'd put a little money into the greens honestly. It's not expensive though and they get traffic ...
Down South
Early March 2022 the course was in good condition for this time of year. The fairways are semi-lenient & the greens were very tough. The greens were also hard to read. Practice range was closed, which was a big drawback. Coming out of northern Ohio, we hadn’t hit a ball since October. Couldn’t get loose! Yet as we finished the round there were people hitting on it, by 5 pm. The round was a great value! 18 holes + cart for $43’!
I’ll play again
Twice I had a great expert. So I’ll be back. Pretty good shape for this time of year. Starter is a kick. Enjoy the bridge.
