Nice
A warm sunny day to enjoy a interesting layout Faiways good greens sparce but quick, the average golfer will enjoy a fair tract. Good value worth the drive from MB.
Very interesting course
Course is very nicely laid out. Ladies tees are not always given enough advance over other tees, but not a major problem. Greens were the weak point, but were still very playable, though quite bare due to the winter. Would still play there again in spite of that. Got a deal so it was terrific value!
Nice layout and good condition
Fairways and greens in good condition.Only drawback would be difficulty in consistency in chipping off the green due to need to have more grass. This course while generally has open fairways but does have several challenging driving holes.
Dry-nFast
Greens were dry ,hard and fast. Some traps have new sand, fairways are average for this time of year and tees were a bit chewed up from not being changed. Cutting cups 2 feet and less from old pin placements shows a lack of course experience and lowers the course rating. Nice layout, but no Marshall so play is slow, otherwise play it and rate it ...
Feb, 2017
Good-Traps
Good-Fairways
Fair-Greens, many bare spots, bumpy.
Pool-tee boxes.
Deplorable - Speed of play-
A 4 star overall rating per conditions were way off. 5hr+ round. No rangers.
Very friendly
Played this course after 2 inches of rain so it was cart path only. Course did drain well, good condition, nice layout
Golf Course Much Improved
The golf course is doing many course improvements. Bunkers are being worked on, their is a hydroaxing project underway which will provide a more enjoyable playing experience and the course is green! A lot of work and financial commitment is noticed here. Great value added course with southern hospitality.
One of the best in North Myrtle area. A great test of golf from the back two tees and real fun from the gold tees. The well maintained fairways and greens and tees make it a joy to play this time of year. Great staff and very friendly right through to the greens crew. Want 18 holes of beauty and a challenge to any level of game you have to play here.
Great Course for the Price
The Layout is challenging. Good risk reward. It you hit good shots you are rewarded. There are some easy holes and some not so easy holes. Great balance. Not many houses on the course. Fun to play.
Loved it...
Challenging for all skill levels
The course condition is the best I've seen it. I play there often and can truly say that this year (2017) it has started out in excellent condition. The course has a great layout and provides a great golf experience for all skill levels. It is definitely women friendly. The clubhouse offers a warm, friendly and comfortable stop after golf. The 30 minute drive from North Myrtle Beach is worth it. A great course for a great price.
Diamondback review
The course was very wet. Cart path only. The greens were bumpy and slow - but was expected - as golf in the beginning of January is sketchy at best.
Well worth it.
This is a very enjoyable course to play. Although wet from morning rain, I can accept what is given. I recommend this course and wouldn't hesitate to play again and again. The layout is perfect and challenging. You will not be disappointed.
First time
Course was good, well marked and challenging
Quality/price is very good.good challenge
The diamond back golf course is a good normal challenge for ordinary golfer. The course is not a great quality course but very suitable.for the price. We hope you keep it like it is.
Wet conditions
Cart path only day we played. The course was extremely wet to the point of being almost unplayable. I can overlook that except the course has not been well maintained for quite some time. The value was excellent since we paid only $15 on Golf Now, but I would not play here again when visiting MB. Not an interesting course.
The course was unplayable!
This course was so bad we left after playing five holes. I understand it has been very wet lately but that doesn't explain the weeds and dead grass in many of the fairways. Beeing fair they have had fifteen inches of rain over the last three weeks but I don't believe that explains all the conditions.
Thank you for your feedback. We are always looking to improve course conditions and rain seemed to definitely play a factor in conditions when you played. Look forward to having you back soon and making up for this experience.
Good for the price I paid
Good course with challenging holes. Layout was good, greens fast. The only complaint was that it was hot and humid and no water provided. Other than that I would play it again I will just bring my own stock of water.
Diamondback
I really enjoy this course. It's tight but fair. It was very wet due to the excessive but that was true of all the courses in Myrtle Beach. Have played it when it was dry, and it was enjoyable and challenging. I highly recommend this course. They will not soak you price-wise either!!
Larry
Great conditions, big challenge, love the layout
Good drive from Myrtle Beach
Nice layout, well maintained. Only problem is the 40 minute ride from Myrtle Beach.
Thank you for your feedback and we apologize for your poor experience. Look forward to having you back soon and making up for this experience.
