The tee shot on 14 at Meadowlands requires a golfer's sense of humor to navigate successfully. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 11/07/2018
Sand & Deserted
Greens were sanded and dragged, cups hadn't been replaced in a while, only saw seven people playing and as a single no one wanted company to enjoy the day with. You go ahead, we're practicing and don't want to play with any one else. Fairway, tees and traps in great shape . Finished 18 in 2.5 hours. Recommend playing for sure but only with a Hot Deal greens fee.
Will play again
First time at this course. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Course is in great condition. It is a generous layout with wide fairways, although a bit long and a few long carries from the tee. I will be going back to play again and will definitely try the sister course Farmstead
Good Conditioned Golf Course
Highly recommend, staff friendly, allow junior golfers to play FREE WITH a paying Adult.
Fast greens, nicely mowed fairways.
Good location, recommend playing while on vacation!
Very nice course
First time playing this course. Really enjoyed the layout. Tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. Greens were in very good shape. Not super fast but rolled true. Staff was very nice ( pro shop, grill, and ranger). I would definitely play again.
Meadowlands
Nice course. Need to play a few times to learn the distance needed on some holes to not get in trouble
Very nice course for the price
Played @ 2:30pm on a Thursday with no wait. Course was in fantastic shape, cart paths have been recently redone. Greens rolled very true. Some very challenging Par 4’s from the White Tee’s. Par 3’s are challenging & par 5’s are reachable with good tee balls.
Recently aerated greens
Signs at course entrance and on carts say “course of the year”, but doesn’t mention what year. Greens were so bumpy and slow, they were barely playable. I realize this is normal maintenance, but a customer should be advised of the course condition before being charged full price, or offered a reduced green fee, as some courses do. Buyer beware, call the pro shop, if you can find the number and they answer, to inquire about course conditions, or risk paying full price to a normally fine course that happens to have greens that are basically ground under repair. I have played temporary greens that putted better. Won’t play there again anytime soon.
Great course - come see them!
Really great layout with plenty of challenges! Staff is very nice(Thanks David and Al)!
Course is being well maintained despite the recent rains - you can really tell everyone at Meadowlands cares about their facility and your golf experience.
WOW!
Suburb layout, great conditions, greens were amazing! Staff was beyond accommodating, really showed us what Southern hospitality is. Highly recommend! We will be back when we're in town! Thank you!!
Fun
Great conditions. Hidden Gem Heard sister course Farmstead was excellent as well.
This is a Wet Course
As a golf course, this is a nice course with a challenging layout. Problem is, as a Grand Strand Course it has to be one of the wettest. Course today had cart paths on 4 holes (plus par 3s), but it should have been 16 of 18. There was no roll on fairways. The distance you carried the ball was all you got. Greens were fine, but I don't think they have changed the holes in many days as the sides of the holes were turning inward. There was fairly good sand in the traps. Personal were great. All said, I don't think I will be back to play here unless there is a six month drought to
A mixed bag but well-kept
Meadowlands is tucked away just over the North Carolina border and represents one of that part of the Myrtle Beach area's middle-of-the-road courses. It is mostly straightforward, with a lot of tree-lined holes, some water and greenside bunkers serving as the main obstacles. The course is kept in very nice shape, especially for the rates it commands.
Meadowlands is home to perhaps the oddest tee shot on the Grand Strand: at the short par-5 14th, where a leaning tree sits directly in the way about 75 yards off the tee box. A big left-to-right drive is necessary for getting to a spot where the green is reachable in two. The rest of the course ranges from solid to pedestrian, but this is a memorable moment...just not necessarily a euphoric one.
Terrible greens
Have played here for over 10 years. Worst greens ever. Booked online through course. No warning of bad greens by course online. No mention in pro shop either. $65 fee should have been discounted wth mention of greens. I really like the course, but somebody dropped the ball.
love it there
played front in aboute 2:15 min , got backed up on back, ran out of light , stuff happens , only got 16 holes , weekend play is always slow. still a great place . would send anyone there. plus its daylights savings now.
