Tiger's Eye Golf Links at Ocean Ridge Plantation

To be honest, the course was in-flux due to repairs and weather conditions. However, the staff made this a point up front at check in. The greens however, were in great shape in my opinion. I did have the fastest electric golf cart that I’ve been in and that was kind of fun and helped with pace of play as it is a good distance between greens and tee boxes. If you want a great casual round, then now is good time as the course conditions won’t be too upsetting to you. A drought is a drought and nothing they can do., so make the most of it. I’d play it again.

The greens were good. The tees and fairways were definitely recovering from a tough summer. Starters and proshop were very helpful and friendly. I would play again.

I played the other 3 O.R. courses. The only one in good shape is Leopard’s Chase. Tiger’s Eye is in horrible shape (see pics). Tee boxes = very bad. Fairways = as poor as I’ve ever played. The worst. I will not recommend or play this course again until they fix it. It does have potential. The greens were in okay condition. The bunkers were hard as dirt.

We always loved this course and enjoy playing here. The course had some burnt out spots from this summers drought, but in general is recovering fairly well. Some tee boxes could definitely use work, but the green were in good shape which is most important to me. The front nine was a little slow, but the back nine played quickly. Don't know if some only played nine or stopped for lunch, but we didn't have to wait.

Based upon reviews earlier this year after drought conditions, my expectations were low. However, the course was in good condition; the staff were welcoming; facilities were great. Good value for the money. We’ll try some of the other Big Cat courses, but we enjoyed Tiger’s Eye!

The course has been very dry and patchy due to the drought. With the recent rain, the course is greening up. Still some dry patchy spots but maintenance is working diligently to bring it up to its potential.

Summer in NC so that is always a factor. Other courses in the area are in much better shape. Fairways and greens are both very poor.

Played in 3 1/4 hours greens were in good condition

One of my favorite courses. Tee time was at 07:18, finished by 11:30. Course is dry but the greens were soft and well maintained during this drought. Did not have to wait on any hole including the par 3's. A great time!

We enjoyed Tiger’s Eye and will definitely play the course again. All ORP courses are very nice.

The only issue I had was that the greens had been punched and 2 days prior and we didn’t know until we checked in!!

We had fun on Tigers Eye, it was a solid but fair test of golf; this is a course you can hit irons and hybrids off the tee and still score. Greens were rolling nicely, rest of the course was holding up the best you could expect with the ongoing lack of rainfall. The starter gave several helpful tips on how to manage the course which was much appreciated. Pace of play was good but slowed a little on the back, 15 can be a bottleneck. I’d definitely play again in the future.
