Great Golf for Friends

The fairways can be treacherous as they run out into bunkers or arroyo areas. No way to hit from that so you eat a stroke. With the nature of the guarded greens and many bunkers, I feel the course rating is a bit slow and because of all the ball searching (I am a 7 handicap) it took a lot of time and we waited on every shot for the 4 in front of us as they searched for their balls. Greens are great, fairways in really good shape. Fun layout to play with groups.

Expensive for what you get

* starter was kind of a jerk trying to get me to tee off before my tee time. He finally told me he was doing that because he wanted to get me out ahead of a sixsome

* They should never allow sixsomes on the course, that's insane

* Pin placements were extremely challenging, frequently on very narrow parts of greens or only a couple of paces from the fringe or on a knob/ridge

* Course was overall really nice but the 3 things above definitely detracted from the experience. I know it's a challenging course but the pin placements were borderline absurd

Everything was great except for their weird cart policy. My group of 3 had a +1 added on and instead of giving him his own cart, they made me ride with him. All the courses I’ve played on doesn’t mix carts. I even requested we get our own carts but they said it was their policy. For the amount of money we’re paying, they should definitely reconsider that.
