Course was in good shape for early spring. I enjoy the layout and challenging shot requirements. Only complaint was never saw a course marshall and although the round was only about 4-1/4 hours. The group in front was several holes behind and never gave a thought to letting a threesome through. Waited every hole almost every shot. Meanwhile they searched for balls out of play

The course was by far the best one we’ve played in the last 5 days while here in Vegas. Fairways were spectacularly maintained and greens were very true for the most part. Best part was that replaying holes was free, although I’m not sure if this is always true or we just got lucky.

Only issue I had with the course was on a few holes even hitting a near perfect ball in the fairway can result in your ball feeding all the way into some water or rock obstacle.

Definitely would play again if I’m ever back in the area

Just a remarkable golf experience, with superb facilities and a course in tip top shape. You get to experience 18 of Jacks greatest designed holes, replicas down to the color of the sand and trees that mark the hole. Staff are great, and location is dramatic. It’s a tough track, but fair. Well worth a visit, but is a premium venue.

The Bermuda and winter rye are brown.

The greens are somewhat mottled but roll well. Nice mixture of sand in bunkers with black sand and others with white sand. Sand a little thin. Great views of mountains and Vegas.

Played BB for the first time. Beautiful course with stunning Mountain View’s. Only negative was they had a large corporate outing that went out in front of us that slowed play quite a bit. No ranger in site to keep slow groups moving. Overall, course was in good conditions, greens were a litttle bumpy & blotchy but rolled ok. Starter “G-Reg” was cool - good advise.

First couple holes get your attention. I scored better on the back nine than the front but maybe I was getting used to the green speeds and chipping from around the greens. Beautiful area and the course was in great shape. Loved the remains of the snowmen on a couple holes! HaHa! Mountain views were terrific. I definitely would play it again. It is pricey but it was fun and everyone was very nice - from the bag drop, to the cart girl, to the starter, to pro shop personnel. We teed off behind a small shotgun group but they moved along without much waiting. I would’ve loved to use the on course bathroom but our cart didn’t have the key to unlock it (we were the trailing cart). All the homes are beautiful, but some are amazing and are set back from the course. Mr. Coyote wandered by - no wonder the cotton tail bunnies took off! GPS in the carts was necessary, especially since we were all first timers.

Played several courses in the area, as part of a winter retreat from Montana. The course exceeded our expectations and is on the short list of tracks to play in Vegas!

Bears best is a nice course and challenging but at $200 per round the course conditions are not work it. Fairways are ok but not great. The sand traps have lots of rocks in them I’ve played other courses in better condition. BTW, I’m a 8 index.

This is a nice course with a reasonable fee and good location.

Some holes are visibly tricky to see the landing areas but if I played a 2nd time all would be well. The in cart gps does a good job - even so I got caught out a couple of times off the tee.

Staff was great. Beer was cold and pleasantly served while the greens, tee boxes, and fairways were in great shape. Watch the grain it changes the pace of the greens heavily here.

Really fun round. Only negative was the pace of play but otherwise really great time

A really great course, features some of the best holes including one from Sante Fe NM which i have played before.

I have played a lot of courses that are a compilation of the best holes in Scotland, England, by Nicklaus, etc. Bear's Best Las Vegas is a stern test as the holes imitated are Western North America courses from Old Works in Montana to the the desert locales of Scottsdale, Palm Springs, and onto Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.

Located on the western side of the valley on a nice bench with great valley and mountain views, this course is a great play for the price in Las Vegas.

Our group played on another cold morning with wind and overcast skies. We played the White tees due to mixed handicaps. 6,043 yards with rating/slope at 69.1/124.

The course plays through several different residential areas, with many of the fairways lined with supposed $5million+ homes. They added to the scenic views and were far enough off that they did not come into play for our group.

Jack "Friggin" Nicklaus' name was said in jest many times as bunkers were founds and greens overshot as they did not hold.

The course has flat, uphill, downhill, sidehill, and forced carry holes. Great opportunity to use every club in your bag. My driver and three wood got a lot of play and my 2-hybrid was my usual approach club due to the wind.

Course is in decent winter conditions. Staff is helpful if not a little thin for the amount of players coming through. Great facilities.

If you are staying on the Strip, it can be a 30 minuted ride. This is a great course to add to any buddy trip to Vegas.

I have been playing Bear's Best for years and it is consistently a positive experience. Today's round took just under four hours, the temperature was about 50, but there was no wind. The staff is friendly, and the course is well maintained. There are challenges on every hole, but even a 14 handicap like me can birdie any one of them on a good day.
