Gripping it and ripping it may be in vogue, but course architect team Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt are not going to let that be the extend of your strategy at Siena Golf Club.

This Las Vegas course is about shot-making more than bombing away. Siena's 97 pot bunkers are arranged to force frequent strategic decisions. Sometimes discretion is the better part of scorecard valor at Siena.

Hooking the ball every which way is paid for dearly at Siena. It's best to go with the clubs you can hit reasonably straight and give up a little distance.

Views of the surrounding mountains are complemented by six different water bodies, including Lake Siena. You'll be strategizing in some striking scenery.

"I don't think you'll come away impressed with this course," marketing director Mick Toscano said. "I think you'll come away awestruck."

A Gem off the strip

Make this a to play when in Vegas. Awesome layout, front nine ais tough but a very fair layout and great conditions. From the greeting cart staff, Todd (director of golf) welcome in the golf shop and small talk, to Bill the informative, kind, and warm starter, this place is top notch service. Clubhouse and outdoor setting is immaculate, reminds me of Florida courses. Hats off to Todd and his staff!

A gem off the strip

Todd and his team do an amazing job! From the greeting in the shop with small talk to the hospitality, information and friendly starter Bill, this place is a must if you want to venture off the strip. Clubhouse, bar, restaurant is GORGEOUS AND TOP NOTCH HIGH SCALE! Front nine is much tougher than back. Fast greens, make sure you know where the strip is while putting.

Love the fairways, hate most of the greens

The fairways tend to be wider than most of the other courses in the area. This is good for those of us who spray our drives. The greens are not in great condition though. Lots of old divots. I understand that the golfers should be the ones who do most of the repairs but the course personnel should not let the greens fall into disrepair. Still I will always recommend Sienna as a golf destination.
