Siena Golf Course

Greens were terrible. Looked like unrepaired divots. Other spots were 4” diameter sized brown spots on the green!

No Marshall seen for pace of play correction. Multiple groups hitting multiple balls, taking videos and pictures of their shots.

Very disappointed

This was the first time I’ve played Siena Golf Club. They indicated they had significant rain the week before I played the course. They said some bunkers could be unplayable but we really didn’t experience any issues with the bunkers.

There are not many good aspects to this course except for the beauty of the course. Many holes are stunning. It is located on the western outskirts of Las Vegas, situated against the mountains as your backdrop on many holes. The holes that stood out were: 4, 6, 8, 11, 12, 15, 16 & 17. The starter was very pleasant.

Here were the issues with the course:

Overall, it was not in good shape. The greens were very bumpy. Many greens had numerous small pockmarks. Hole 10 was the worst. The greens on holes 11 & 15 had this issue too.

The fairways have many brown spots. Very inconsistent looking grass. Some of the fairways were aerated.

Some of the bunkers were lacking enough sand. Also, some had grass growing in them.

We were charged over $190 for the round, with a $50 each way credit Uber drive credit. We asked other players that day what they paid for their green fees. They told us it was in the $80 range. Yes, the Uber credit is nice but my foursome paid $760 less $100 Uber credit ($660) vs. another group $240.

Pace of play was not good. No marshal on the course to monitor this. Well, over a 5-hour round.

On the course, there were individuals seeking donations on several of the par 3’s. I just prefer that a course does not do this. The lady on hole 7, I had no idea if she worked for St. Jude’s or this was a scam. The clubhouse should tell you about this when you pay for your green fees.

With such a pretty course, the finishing hole is an uphill tee shot. Not what I was expecting. After your tee shot, the hole looks good.

On nearly every tee box, the grass looks like crab grass. It may be an actual drought resistant grass but the grass does not match the grass on the course.

I would not recommend this course at the $190 we paid. It just was not in good shape. This course would easily get a top rating if it was in good shape. Very disappointing.

Nice course. Not in the best shape…but didn’t necessarily affect my play. I enjoyed the course design. Wish people would fix ball marks on the green. Overall nice course!

For your money you can’t beat this course. It has more sand traps than your average course that will keep you focused. The food and drink choices are excellent and the atmosphere temps most courses in Vegas.

I usually have a great time at Siena, but this time the 18 holes took 5 hours and 15 minutes.

WORST pace of play ever, on hole seven, on pace for a 6 1/2 hour round, course is in awful condition, bunkers are terrible, greens are terrible, fairways are awful, and the tea boxes are filled with weeds, awful don't go

I was in town visiting a friend. We decided to hit up sienna for a round. If I were a resident, I’d be a member, let’s just put it like that!

Had a great last minute rate. Staff was very accommodating. Fairways were pretty nice greens slower than they looked. Bunkers wastelands enter at your own risk, overall fun. I personally would not pay $100 which is what the course asks i believe. Well worth the golfnow deal however.

This was my second time playing this course. The course is in excellent shape considering the Vegas heat. The pace of play was horrible we were waiting on every tee box sometimes with two groups on the tee at the same time. The ranger said he spoke to the group ahead that was slowing things down but it never sped up. Will definitely play this course again.

A bit pricey but a nice course. Staff was great. Condition was very good. Only negative was that the let some groups go off the back. We played super fast on the front and then started waiting by hole 12.

Excellent golf course. Definitely I’m coming back or getting a membership 😊
