The Legacy Golf Club

Couldn’t recommend it more. Absolutely pure fairways and greens. Backdrop of the mountains is amazing. Less than 4 hours for an afternoon tee time.

Straight forward course off the tees, and a good mix of distances on the par 3’s. Pin locations were fair, but could be made very difficult with some of the undulating greens. Green speeds were good, challenging but fair. Bunkers are deep, and penalizing. We came straight from the airport and the staff was very friendly on our arrival and held our bags (we were not staying at the resort). Food in the restaurant was good. Half way house was also friendly and quick.

Several holes had all the tees in the same spot. Unfortunately they were very long par 3s. Unfair to women and high handicappers.

I played 7 courses in Phoenix. Other six courses were awesome. I Hardly write bad reviews. But believe me this one deserves it. The management and pace of play was the worst. Not Exaggerating but truly, it took two hour 30 minutes to finish seven holes so I quit. It was not cart path only day Also. they try to blame that on Junior Tournament, No. The holes before the junior tournament they were all cramped up as well. So it had nothing to do with Junior tournament. Teetimes or cramped up. Went to the clubhouse with hoping to get my full refund because 2 1/2 hour seven holes really deserve that. Instead of saying sorry for this experience but they charge me more than half of green for the 7 hole I played.

What a lousy experience turned out to be they could have done better job when it comes to customer service but no, I did not argue with them to give me a full refund and apologize I just took what they gave me and left.

I would not suggest or recommend this golf course, but especially the management to do business with.

Being from Michigan, Arizona golf is a lot different so keep that in mind. Overall, prices in winter are very high compared to home but this course price was not bad for the others I see in AZ and the quality was good. Pretty straight forward course. The most difficult part were the traps, deep and strategically placed.

It was cart on cart path only, which slowed down the pace of play. Tee off time was 2:20 pm and we completed 13 holes before stopping due to darkness. Some of the greens were a little rough and there were some wet spots on the course. A few of the sand traps had water and/or mud.

I’m a 68 years old bogey golf that plays from the white tees. I thought it was a fun and challenging course and I will play it again.

Good track, greens and f/ways were in v. good condition.

I played late afternoon for $49 and got about 12 holes in. This is a very well kept course with very fast greens and generous fairways. Some of the greens have challenging slopes but overall, a very pleasurable golf experience. The range and practice area are very good as well. The Starter was friendly and gave some great advice on many of the greens are slightly elevated so an extra club is often the right choice.

Pace of play was very slow (5.5 hours). Marshal did not address issue with 2 foursomes that clearly didn’t appreciate pace of play. No issue with inexperienced golfers but marshal needs to ensure players understand etiquette and pace of play.

Nice course with speedy greens. Bunkers are deep and can be a challenge. Pace of play was just ok, no real marshaling. If you get a hot deal, it is a good value otherwise it is a questionable value but this time of year you pay for the weather.

We’ve played the Legacy over the last 10 years when we’ve travelled to Phoenix and I think it’s in the best condition I can remember.
