Legacy Golf Club sits on 28 acres of Dwight B. Heard's turn-of-the-20th-century ranch, home to 1902 silos that decorate the 18th fairway - once the tallest manmade things in Maricopa County. More history is on the first tee, in the Sierra Vista House which counts among its early-1900s visitors Theodore Roosevelt and Pancho Villa.

Gary Panks designed the golf course at the Legacy Golf Club, giving it lush fairways, strategic hazards and manicured greens to test all golfers. Native flora grows from the landscape, and the club's elevation offers a vista of Camelback Mountain, Squaw Peak and the skyline of Phoenix.

Great course for the price

Phoenix is full of pricey green fees and mediocre conditions. Legacy is a great track for the price. Very warm and welcoming staff. Carts are great. Conditions were great. I’ve played a lot of courses in the area and this will be one that gets added to the top of the list.

Great day at Las Sendas golfing!! First time playing here for a buddies golf trip (from Wisconsin) and will be back next January. Challenging layout with well placed fairway bunkers and plenty of green-side bunkers. Excellent course conditions including the tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers. Cart paths and carts are very nice, although no GPS on the carts.

The Legacy

I’ve played this wonderful golf course over 40 times in my life. Are used to live across the street from the golf course. It had been at least eight years since I was in this part of Arizona and had the opportunity to play the The Legacy golf course. I love all the changes they made to expand the fairways and eliminate the desert landscaping. The legacy golf resort design staff has found that nuanced area of playability and difficulty. The course is much more playable than the past, but because of the challenge of the greens and the deep bunkers it still makes for a tough test and it’s a great value at the pricing structure they have for this time of year. I will definitely be back and bring friends with me next time.
