About
Legacy Golf Club sits on 28 acres of Dwight B. Heard's turn-of-the-20th-century ranch, home to 1902 silos that decorate the 18th fairway - once the tallest manmade things in Maricopa County. More history is on the first tee, in the Sierra Vista House which counts among its early-1900s visitors Theodore Roosevelt and Pancho Villa.
Gary Panks designed the golf course at the Legacy Golf Club, giving it lush fairways, strategic hazards and manicured greens to test all golfers. Native flora grows from the landscape, and the club's elevation offers a vista of Camelback Mountain, Squaw Peak and the skyline of Phoenix.

Great course, plan on spending all day
Course was great. Well taken care of and challenging lay out. Place of play was slower than any course I’ve ever played. We had to quit because it was taking so long. Cannot really describe how slow it was on the back nine other than after an hour and a half we had only completed 3 holes. If you don’t have all day to play 18 holes look elsewhere.
Excellent golf
Great day of golf on our vacation! I looked forward to this course for over a week and it surpassed all my expectations! We will certainly be back.

Solid Course
Solid course. Came in town for WM and was looking for a decent course in the area. Exceeded my expectations. Fun course, good conditions, all around a great time.

Good conditions and pace of play
We played as a twosome and were paired with a very pleasant couple visiting from Germany. The course was in good shape, staff pleasant and helpful, marshalls attentive, pace of play good.

Excellent Course and Value for the Money
Beautiful course. Great design and layout. Challenging but still manageable. Top notch practice facilities. Not as pricey as some of the other courses in the area but just as nice. Would highly recommend. Lives up to the reputation as one of the better public courses in the area.

Nice course, great condition
Really liked the course. Not overly difficult but challenging at the same time. Was in great condition, green, fairways and bunkers. Would definitely play again.

Great Pace - Fun Course
Nice layout. Pretty course. Challenging without being unplayable for an average golfer. Stay out of the fairway bunkers. Pretty much a guaranteed penalty stroke. Pace was great - finished in just over 4. Only beef (and stressing it’s a minor complaint) is some greens at the start were a little patchy. I’m going back this week regardless - just had to mention for other golfers for whom that might be a bigger issue. They still played true (and fast). Oh and the dog at the turn was fantastic. Staff was great as well. Friendly and helpful.

It was a little pricey but the course was in great condition. The fairways were plush and the greens were just about perfect.
