North Shore Golf Course
About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

Pricey Conditions
The cost is high for summertime golf in Florida, especially for the condition of the course....price as if it's a resort course when it is not. Excellent layout, enjoy the course but should be in better shape with the cost of the round.
Value just not there
This course was much better a few years ago. Now they are overpriced, and the course conditions aren't at expectation in terms of the price. The greens were super hairy and fairways and rough had tons of weeds. to lose your ball in the fairway due to weeds is a problem. The tee sheets are WIDE OPEN on GN for this course nearly everyday, but their prices reflect a fully booked tee sheet. Eagle Creek, which is a mile away, offers much better pricing, is busier, and has a much better maintained tract.
The only reason I played this course was because Eagle Creek is punching their greens this week.
Yesterday was my last time playing North Shore.
P.S. $9 for a small bucket of 20 balls is ABSURD!!!
Always a fun course
Great course, a few of the greens can be challenging.
Overall course is in great condition coming out of a very long dry season.
A little scruffy
I love NS. Play there a lot. Pace of play was awesome... I had the course to myself after some afternoon rain. I think they just punched the front nine and will soon do the back, but I barely noticed what was punched. A bunch of greens and fringe areas are turning brown or have dead spots. Tee boxes are a little scruffy as well. The course is very playable but this all needs attention. Seems like a seasonal issue at NS as I've seen this before but it won't deter me because of proximity.
Excellent Course
As always friendly staff - course in good condition especially considering the recent weather. Greens rolling beautifully despite the heavy rain and heat. Only downside the fringes have a few bare spots but you can see they are working on them. Interesting course and scenic, a couple of hawks and a small gator on display. Highly recommend
great shape
quick play good fairways great greens friendly staff
Extremely disappointed
Comfortably the worst I’ve seen the greens in 2 years of living on the course.
So much potential this place, they only interested in keeping the course in good shape when the snowbirds are down spending cash to play December to April , the rest of the time no fxxx given.
Great Course
This is definitely one of the top courses in Orlando. It has a great layout and it was well-maintained.
Usually excellent but not so good this time
Greens quite slow and now frequently tee boxes very scruffy. Not usual NS conditions. Had 9 good holes at a reasonable pace but caught up with a few very slow 4 balls. 4 groups on 12th (2 waiting on the tee) worsened to 5 groups on the 15th (3 on the hole and 2 waiting on the tee)! Continued to the end. 2hrs 40 back nine. Also had a problem with picking up 3 hot dogs from the bar after 9 holes. Preordered and prepaid, but only one left! The lady (although very nice) didn’t appreciate that we needed to keep our place on the course and couldn’t wait for them to be cooked. Usually not a problem.
Overpriced for course conditions
I was hesitant to book a return trip to North Shore because of course conditions in the past. I saw a recent review, saying how great it was so book to play this past weekend. The staff there is great. The food there is great. This is not a $90 course. Closer to $50. I’m not a snob. I fly all over the Orlando area every week. Greens and General were in good shape. However, Fringe and collars were nonexistent. Not sure if due to groundskeeping or issues with sandhill cranes. Tea boxes were not in good shape at all. Lots of sand everywhere. Fairways in general were good. Seems seems the course knows they are one of 2 courses in town (Eagle Creek) so they feel they can gouge. Unfortunately I will not book again unless in the $50 range. I’d rather spend $110 at Reunion and get great conditions.
Nice Course
Pro shop staff Dan was very friendly! Foursome finished in under 4 hours which was nice. Greens were in pretty good shape, some patches on a few but they rolled nice. With the dry weather few dried areas but for the most part course was in good shape.
Needs water
Course is ok. It desperately needs water. Tee boxes all beat up, fairways and greens pretty good. Some holes were so brown on the rough, looked like I was playing a desert course. Hopefully the rain last night will help things immensely. They have done a very good job getting this course back into shape, hopefully the recent lack of rains won’t stunt the progress.
Nice track
The course is in really good shape. The greens are a touch slow but very consistent. Price was fair in PM @ $49.
