North Shore Golf Course
About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

This course will test you.
First time playing after reading good reviews. Well worth the drive from Davenport. Played from blue tees. Some really long par 4’s and 5,s. Conditions were great. Greens were a pleasure to putt on…Will play there again. Only drawback was the snack bar. Very limited menu and no draft beer.
Great Day
The staff was very friendly. Two of us were pair with another two some. They were also friendly and good to get in a round with. We were well matched, encouraging and had a great day. The course was in pretty good shape. Greens were a little slow. Fairways were good. The rough was no place to put your ball, that furry type grass hides the ball. A great day had by all.
The course has potential but needs TLC. Weeds and crabgrass throughout fairways and tee boxes. Most of the greens were in decent shape. Others had really concerning spots. Didn’t see a starter. Weekday twilight pace was great other than teeing off behind a juniors tournament.
Not Worth the Price
Hadn’t played here in a while due to past negative experiences. Figured I’d give it another shot. Nothings changed. Course isn’t worth more than $25 at most. Patchy tee boxes, fairways, and greens. Terrible conditions around the greens. Extremely muddy and mosquitoes literally everywhere. Every group was getting torn up by them. Go 10 min down the road and play Eagle Creek, a golf course actually worth the price they charge.
Could be the worst experience I've ever had
Staff is inconsiderate and only wants to take your money. Don't ever call and book a tee time, and reserve it with a credit card. These lawyers behind the pro shop counter won't let you cancel and tell you that you will be charged thr full amount if you don't come play.
Do not play here...ever
I was un able to cancel my tee time less than 10 minutes after I called and made the tee time. Every staff member I spoke with kept bringing up some 24 hour cancelation policy like they were reading from a script that a lawyer gave them. I was told I could play or if I didn't show up I would be charged the full amount. The course is trash, the pro shop staff could care less, but the lady serving food and drinks was nice and worked hard. Don't waste your money here
Excellent management
Excellent management !! Love the course ! The price is over priced ! Should be a $50 course
Even with a lot of rain lately.
Even with a lot of rain lately the course was in great shape. Greens were very receptive and rolled well
I consider myself very fortunate to have moved four years ago, to a neighborhood 10 minutes from Northshore Golf Club. I practice a lot, ( coz I need it!) and the Northshore practice area is second to none. They have never even heard of mats over there, for one thing. Their practice tee ground is gargantuan, so they are able to move the practice tees to fresh grass frequently. The cherry on top is that in the last couple months, Anthony has been tirelessly filling the fresh divots made by struggling guests like me, with sand, and leveling them out. Now that this extra detailed care has had time to take root, so to speak, the practice tee grass is the best I've ever seen, bar none. It is PERFECT. I even feel bad taking a divot, as it's so smooth and perfect. The guys up at Sawgrass should come down and gaze at Northshore's practice tee.....in awe.
The course itself is in great shape. When I first got here about four years ago, it was a little sparse, but not now. I must confess that when my ball finds a bare spot to stop, where there is supposed to be grass, I move it on to some grass......but I really don't have to practice this sort of nefarious breach of etiquette at Northshore.
As for the staff, they're like family. When I walk in there, I feel like Norm from Cheers. They all do a great acting job for me, pretending my endless dumb dad jokes are actually funny. Especially Dan, one of the teaching pros; the poor man has unfortunately been saddled with a sense of humor which is identical to mine!
Do yourself a favor and head over to Northshore and hit yourself a large bucket of balls, locally known as a "Big'n," The practice balls actually sparkle, like they just came out of the box. Then go play the course, with your newfound confidence!
Great Conditions
The course is in fantastic shape minus some tee boxes and a couple of soggy low areas, but everywhere else is great.
Fair course
I play this course a lot. It's a fair course. The day I played, the ground was wet, but that was due to rain that night. I was a little concerned about the bare spots on some of the greens.
