About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

Golfer Reviews
Forced to play in sideways rain.
Arrived golf course shortly before our t-time and conditions were miserable. Cold and windy with “sideways” rain. Golfers were coming in off the course to avoid the rain. Because we had a afternoon t-time and at best we would be starting late and be unable to finish before dark, we decide to tell the pro-shop person we wanted to cancel the t-time.
We were told that the course was not closing so we would be charged whether we played or not.
Based on what we were told we decided to give it a try.
After checking in we were giving keys to golf carts and told to go outside find the carts and we could head out. The golf carts were left outside and were soaking wet. We were offered zero assistance in loading or drying off the cart seats before heading out on the course.
Once on the course the fairways were saturated and there was standing water on the greens.
The rain finally stopped but we were one of very few groups on the course and course conditions never improved.
We flew into town for a golf trip, based on how we were treated we would not recommend or play this course again.
Always a Pleasure!
I live in Melbourne, so it’s always a treat to get out of town and play in Orlando. With so many courses to choose from, North Shore is one of my favorites. The course/greens are always in good condition year-round, the amenities excellent, and the course staff professional and accommodating to all players. Bravo for an enjoyable round and I look forward to playing again soon!
Nice course but over priced
Greens were in great shape but slow. Nice golf course with a few interesting holes. Comparing other courses in the same price range (Orange Lake, Celebration, Disney, Mystic Dunes), this should be no more than a $60-$70 course. Definitely not over $100. Carts were old and no USB ports. Food was good inside the clubhouse.
Good value, excellent conditions
This is the second time I’ve played this course. It’s a big operation with 27 holes and a vibrant restaurant. Overall, great course conditions but you can tell the impact of beating a busy facility. Lots of marks, golfers could be better with repairing divots.
I will play here again and the only reason I’d hesitate is due to the pace of play. We were waiting on a group ahead of us for most of the first 9, and had folks waiting on us who gave up and disappeared. Things improved and it took us 4.5 hours to play the red/white with a foursome.
Exceded my expectations
First time playing here, my expectativas were exceeded:
1. Billing online was quick in GolfNow.
2. The pace of the course was fast in the afternoon.
3. Beautiful layout and course in great condition.
4. The person that booked the round was friendly.
Weird Layout
Bad greens. A couple greens were diseased and looked like they were dying. Layout is just odd on 2-3 holes. Would not recommend for the price.
cool, windy day
Northshore usually has great greens but not this round. they were slow and quit a few on the back have a fungus and they are losing in some areas. tee boxes were OK, as usual. Fairways were ok, as usual but the greens are usually much better. Pace of play was good, but was a weekday. Probably wont go back until rates go back down since the greens are not what they usually are.
No starter got of to bad start didn’t Act like they cated
Course was in good shape and played at a good pace. Different layout in terms of 5 straight par 4s on the front side before alternating 3s and 5s. Fairways and greens were well maintained. Crowned greens so you need to make sure you carry to the pins. Long course for ladies.
Afternoon quick round..
Awesome layout, Dan in the pro shop was super nice and accommodating. Pace of play was awesome, no one on the course.. course conditions were decent, some greens need work, lots of ball marks, fungus.
Price could/should be $10-$15 cheaper for a 3pm round.
