North Shore Golf Course

About
The 18-hole North Shore Golf Club in Orlando, Florida is a semi-private golf course that opened in 2001. The course slides around lakes and wetlands, and then detours through a grove of large ancient oak trees before re-emerging into the clear at the finish. It has two distinct nines converging to form one remarkable 18-hole layout. Begin your round on the Modern nine, winding through native wetlands and Florida's natural topography. The Classic nine is carved through a grove of 100-year old oak trees, creating an enjoyably unique setting for your finishing holes. North Shore Golf Club is located less than 10 minutes from Orlando International Airport and offers a complete practice facility and world-class instruction.

#13 fairway, long and wide. Ignore the brown grass in the foreground - the fairways are lush enough to hit fairway woods on the par 5s with ease. Photo submitted by Buckleahy on 02/23/2013

Well worth a visit on way back to airport
Very good condition and it was our third time we have played here .
The attraction is that this course is very close to the airport and a great venue for your last game before you leave
All the staff were great, course was in great condition and the pace of play was excellent, aided by an impending weather front , which didnt really materialise , thanks goodness.
Please Change Ownership
Made reservation on Golf now for $80. Got there and this weasel made us show our ID. I am a resident and my partner just flew in from up north to play. The weasel was a real power hungry guy. I didn't pay much attention and did not get a receipt. We are seniors and Vets. I came back at the turn and asked for a receipt. The jerk charged me $140 for my buddy from out of state. This course is not worth anywhere near that money. The greens were just sanded, apparently because they had mold after the rain. We played until about hole 14 before we saw another golfer. Great for pace but terrible for their revenue and for the sport. This jerk owner keeps prices at $149 all day on the weekend days! I had 10 other guys coming in to play for 6 days. I could not in good conscience bring them to Northshore. I love this track but will never return until the owner sells. They will lose even more business if I can help it! I used to play for $35 with lunch included. I know prices have gone up but this is crazy. The owner apparently owns 2-3 other courses in the area and is trying to push prices up. There are still decent courses for $60. Please, sell to someone who wants to get golfers out on the course. This is terrible for the game and for those of us who play during the off season! Screw us now and we will remember you later.... The market place will speak more and put them out of business unless they change policies..
Great course
Tee to green course was in great shape and they had a great overseed as well. Walked the course and had very little traffic on a mid day Friday afternoon. Paid $65 on a Hot Deal.
North Shore
Course is in great condition including greens and bunkers. Pro shop selections have improved, and the staff is always polite & professional. Bev cart service was also very reliable, and I believe the cart made it to us 6 times during the round.
Nice course, well maintained, good condition, good pace of play.
Nice course, well maintained, good condition, good pace of play.
Great course for seniors
This course will challenge any level of golfer but it’s especially good for seniors from the forward tees. The conditions were ideal. The greens are very true and the fairways were terrific given its winter. The only downside was no ball washers on the course so wet your towel before you tee off.
Course was in some of the best shape I have experienced. Only minor complaint was that crews were working on many of the bunkers and did not seem to understand golf etiquette and stop and be quiet when someone is on the green.
Don't waste your time and money
Course and greens were soaked and we haven't had rain in weeks. Greens were slow and soft with pitch marks everywhere. Putting green was closed with kids and pool noodles all over it. If you like slow greens and 5 hour rounds, this is the place for you.
Unimpressed
One of our golfers got a flat tire on the way to the course and didn't make it. They still charged us. Not impressed. Would not recommend
Good Course for what I paid
I got a good deal thru golfnow. What the course is getting, but lets be fair, what any course is getting in central Florida these days, is just not a good value. To be clear, the course is green, the tee boxes good, the fairways have lots of overseed grass that makes for decent lies, but the greens had weeds in them. Not a ton of them, but if I'd paid the rack rate and had to putt over and around the stuff growing in them, I'd be disappointed. As it was, I didn't pay rack rate so it was fine. It's not North Shore being greedy. It's simple economics. As long as people are willing to pay the high rates, why wouldn't a business charge it? They aren't in it to make golf affordable for me:)
Hidden Gem
fantastic course in amazing condition. Fairways rough and greens are all green. I’ve played other courses at the same price point and this one is by far the best condition. Big fan.
Pristine Course
We had a very enjoyable round at Northshore. Easily, this is the best course I have played with in Orlando this year. It's a fairly open course, with water hazards coming into play on several holes.
The tee boxes are nice and flat in excellent shape.
The generously sized greens are pristine and not overyk fast . The fairways are well maintained in excellent shape. There are a few washrooms between holes which are clean and tidy.
The pace of play was great as the course was virtually empty on a beautiful sunny Wednesday in February. The friendly, beauitful cart girl made several rounds but I assume that an empty golf course won't be great for her business.
Overall, we found this course to be of top quality and very enjoyable. However, I believe the price point is too high and is reason why it empty on a beautiful, sunny day. The price shoud certainly not be in the hundred dollar range. I enjoyed Notes and I believe more people will be able to enjoy Northshore if the price point on GN hot deal is in the $60 range or better.
