Excellent Shape
Just played FG for the first time in years and the course was in great shape. They are in the process of fixing the tee boxes 2 at a time but that's the only part of the course that needs work. The fairways and greens are green and the grass is thick and strong. The bunkers are all full of soft fresh sand. Best shape I've seen a public course in for a long time. Great work from the staff. Going back soon.

Forest Greens early afternoon
Played alone starting at 1:30. Other than the greens having recently been aerated, the course was in great condition. Fairways cut short and light rough. Perfect weather and excepting one 4-some of beginner women pace of play was fast. Only waited 2 holes behind 4-some then went on by. As is case in this area, course is a bit pricey for me but scored a hot $27 rate.

More info ahead of time
I love playing this course and will continue to play here. The only bad thing I have to say about yesterday’s visit was there was nothing posted about the front 9 being closed when I booked and we had to play the back 9 twice. The price should had been less because of this.

challenging course
Course layout is fantastic. It's always challengeable to play. Greens are very speedy. It makes me always nervous, that I enjoy. I want to play this course at least once a month.

Wow, first time playing. I only played front nine, LOVE the layout, all the undulations. You really see where your game is at, as there's trouble left and right on almost every hole. Please hit the longest club you can hit Striaght. You'll thank me later.

Aerated fairways - not denoted on GolfNow
Front 9 was closed due to fairway aeration and 2 holes on back 9 were aerated. This was not noted on GolfNow which was very disappointing. Staff was friendly and apologetic (comp'd range balls). However, we were obviously surprised and disappointed when we showed up for what we thought would be the full 18.

4 hours to play 9
The clubhouse staff and course were great. The Marshall was not interested in keeping the pace up. Ended up leaving early because the pace was so slow. As we were leaving we found the culprit of the slow pace. There was a foursome of guys who we watch take at least 3 tee shots each. Not sure how many they hit prior to us getting there but the Marshall didn’t seem to care too much about it.

Lately, Forest Green has been one of our favorite course to go to. Chuck at the pro shop was so friendly and made sure everything is taken care of. We really appreciated that and made us feel very welcomed. Thank you!
