Tigers Paw 7/21
Great early round at Tigers Paw. Teed off at 7:09 as the second tee time and finished at 11. Had to wait just a minute on the back as we turned due to sending off both sides in the morning.
Great staff from the minute you drive up with bag drop being the friendliest in Myrtle Beach. Excellent restrooms, water, and ice on the course as we were playing.
Golf-wise wise very nice conditions. There were a few poorly mown areas, including #1 fairway and a few greens/teeboxes, but otherwise Perfect condtions. The greens were a tad slower than normal here, but they were fairly well taken care of.

Ocean Riidge Cats courses are making a comeback. Tigers eye is ahead of the pack and looking good. Greens are in great condition but a little slower than previous years with different gras grass.

Needs an Investment
I have played this course previously. In the last couple of years this course has gone downhill. Tigers Eye use to be one of Oceanridges premium courses. Not so much anymore. Put some money into your courses .

Big Cats
Staff was great, met me at bag drop super nice. Susan inside was great. Just can't say enough about how nice they were in comparison to Lions/Panthers Clubhouse. Play Tigers stay away from Lions/Panthers. Tigers course way better, greens actually playable. Layout is fun, memorable holes. My only memory of Panthers is greens were slow like take your driver to putt slow.
Needs to Improve
This course could be so great. The course conditions have not improved in more than a year. The rough area , the fairway traps look like no one cares. They seem to be trying to do something with the tee boxes but it’s not working. With support from ownership they could become a top course as the layout is nice.
The greens were very slow but they were punched 10 days ago.
Players could help conditions if the filled divots and fixed greens. But the course doesn’t make you feel like you should.

Nice Track
I’ve played here many times and continue to return. This time the greens were not very good which was disappointing. I understand that the weather may play a role in this but I’ve played other area courses where the greens rolled much better. I’ll return for sure because I enjoy the staff as well as the course. If greens are not much improved I will then decide if this course moves down the list of favorites

Poor Course Conditions
Friendly staff, but the course was in horrible condition. Tee boxes were not cut and mostly dirt! Greens were awful shape with sand all over them. Fairways had grass clippings piled up all over the place.

Greens are sandy and bumpy. Tee boxes were not cut and had a lot of dirt on them not much grass. Fairways had grass clippings all over it in large piles. Staff is very friendly and polite but course is overall in very bad shape.

Nice layout but…
The layout was nice but the course was a bit burnt out, guess lacking sprinkler coverage. The greens were also a bit bumpy, maybe punched recently. I did enjoy playing this course, nice layout, but it needs some more tlc.

Tiger's Eye 6/17/25
Everything was excellent except for the fact that the greens had been plugged and dressed. We received a discount and some range balls for the conditions. Very friendly staff both inside and outside. Would play again.

How in the world have you let this course get so bad? It used to be great. it is in horrendous shape.

The course did endure an extreme period of drought during the spring, which caused several areas to become thin and off color. We have aggressively treated these areas and, thankfully, finally saw a break in the drought, which will improve conditions greatly. We hope you will visit us again and see our continued progress. Enjoyed the layout
We were in from out of town and booked a few courses. We decided on Tigers Eye as one and enjoyed it. The course still needs to recover from the winter but enjoyed the layout and speed of play was great as we were also only a twosome. The greens were in good shape and the staff was friendly. Would definitely play again

Tigers Eye
Had a good round at Tigers Eye. Course was in good condition, greens were surprisingly quick, tees and fairways nice and green. Staff was excellent very friendly met at my car, loaded my clubs and gave me a ride back to the pro shop. I was paired with a twosome but I showed up an hour and half earlier than my tee time and was just going to warm up and roll some putts and the pro shop attendant said if you’re ready go, take off. So I did. Even with fixing a few extra ball marks and sanding some divots, strolled through the round in just over three hours. Very enjoyable and fair test of golf. Definitely will go back.
Save your money. Go somewhere else. Course is in poor condition and the staff is not very kind.
