The Metropolitan Golf Links

4 hours 41minutes. That's how long it took to finish a mid-day round yesterday at Metropolitan. This is one of my favorite mid-week courses in play in the bay area. However, I might be looking elsewhere if pace of play continues to be this bad.

No starter, No sight of a course Marshall. Lots of two-somes, and people playing multiple balls every shot. The wind was feisty (15mph), but this course isn't particularly long, and has many different tee options. We waited longer for a tee than it took to play most holes.

Please Metro staff, employ some ways to improve pace, and I'll be coming here for years to come!

Played a few times and always slow. They need to space tee times out more. You will play a 6 hour round here. Carts are junk and beat to heck. Def need new carts for the money they charge.

For the players reading this. Pick your tees right. I’m a 4 index and have no issues playing whites. See so many players playing blues and tips that can’t play at all. Do your fellow golfers a favor and move up.

Metro has a really fun and challenging course

Definitely recommend to play. The tee boxes are clean and pretty well balance. And the flag positions are a challenge. Great views help settle you in to a fun time.

Let me start with the good. Greens are in great condition. The course layout is great and so are the staff.

However, it stops there. The fairway and tee box are horrible.

The pace of play is so bad. Starter was sending groups out in every six minutes.

I hope they improve on theses items for the rate they charge.

Although it was windy, it is a fun and challenging golf course.

I always go on Sunday, but every time I go, it's a thrilling and fun golf course...and it's the best because I clean up around the 17th hole lake so well.

I’ve played metro about 15-20 times and usually love it. I haven’t been here in a little over a year..now I remember why...pace of play might as well be non existant here..no marshals speeding things up..people hitting two balls off every tee shot even when you’re waiting at the tee boxes behind them..and the conditions have gotten awful. It pains me to put this review because I love the course layout. But it just isn’t worth the $80 with a cart what so ever..it’s like a slap in the face to pay that much for an awful round. Wont be back for awhile unfortunately.

metropolitan is a good course that is windy as it is on the Bay.

Many of the holes are challenging and fun.

This is a 4 star course but the maintenance other than the greens is not as it used to be. Too many bold places with no grass on the fairways and patches with weeds and just very rough uneven grass. This is pandemic time. The greens are in top shape and they were aerating the back 9. Looking forward to a better budget maintaining the course.

Just another tired muni trying to pack as many golfers as they can onto the course. If you have 5-6 hours to spare on a Saturday or Sunday, you might enjoy it. If not, it's a waste of time.

Men's restroom needs attention few times a day. Greens need serious divot repairs.
