Brooksville Country Club

This is a well designed course and love playing especially the back 9 at this course. However the rough was brutal and they probably haven't cut the rough in weeks. I lost too many balls in the rough as the grass was up to my lower ankles, please mow the rough each week.

I always enjoy playing here. Pace was great. I Love the challenge of the hills and valleys. The course is in pretty good condition. It’s not like the normal flat courses in Florida. I would definitely recommend playing here.

My round was ruined by a maintenance worker who was cutting the grass, he has a white beard, probably 45-50 years old. On the back nine he followed me to 4 holes cutting grass right next to me while I was hitting the ball. On one hole he came within 5 feet of me to cut grass while I was on the putting green, I have never seen such disrespect for a customer. I did nothing to anger him but he ruined the day for me, I don't think I will return.

I'm an old Floridian and love old Florida courses. No homes, just lots of trees. Some of the drives are really fun.

The course does need a little love and care but I don’t know if there’s a more fun back 9 anywhere close by.

Brooksville is a good course, Front nine open and second nine picturesque.

Worth the play and a good challenge.

Tee boxes and greens in good shape and only criticism would be bumpy fairways that require some weed killer.

Greens and fairways were poor and the rough has not been cut in two months.

Time for them to invest in a mower

Just outside of Brooksville, Florida is a hidden little gem. It’s very unique to the area. The front nine looks quite normal with its routing just like many other courses in Central Florida and that extends into 10 at 11 on the back nine. But starting on number 12 Brooksville country club takes you around, over and down into a series of old limestone quarries that will give you an experience you don’t normally see. It’s a fun track to play over and over again.
