Brooksville Country Club

Course was in ok condition for August. The greens were not mowed, making them rough, bumpy and slow. On fact, so slow that you can't mentally force yourself to putt as hard as needed. Perhaps it was aerated and sanded recently, and I just came afterwards.

The layout is always nice, especially with the quarry holes.

Didn't hate the course by any means, was fun, challenging, and the feature holes on the back are awesome. Course was just wet still from the hurricane, can't help that. Just slow play from groups ahead never make for a great round. Have to hit the fairway at this course, hit into the tall grass might as well just take a drop and keep 'er moving. Overall I would play it again.

I always have fun playing Brooksville C.C. I’ve taken a number of friends there and tell them they are in for a great experience, something very special. The usual response after playing the from nine is “This is a nice track but I don’t see what makes it so special.” I tell them just give me two more holes. Then we come to #12 and the beginning of the quarry holes. Never fails to blow them away!

I used to enjoy playing here since I lived at the course from 1976-1980. I was amazed at the poor playing conditions and I realized that tropical storm Debby passed a week earlier but my home course was up to playability within a week. The rough here was knee deep looks like it wasn’t cut in months. The course management was a joke. No starter I played behind a single no encouraged to join. She was terrible I had to wait for her to hit 3 shots before I could tee off. The 4 some tried to get her to play through but she was clueless. Played maybe 7 holes gave up skipper to the quarry’s holes and called it a day. Will never return and recommend that no serious golfer waste their time and money.

Good bones. Poorly maintained, Overgrown 2nd and 3rd cut. Greenside bunkers full of water. Plenty of better courses in this price range. Won’t be going back this year.

A beautiful course setting with lots of open fairways and large live oak trees.

Fairways are good. The rough is about a foot tall.

This course is for the most part a test of all your clubs so it makes it fun to play there is a few spots that need a little extra work

( some fairways ) but overall the course is pretty good . This is one of my favorite courses in this area I think better golfers should give it a try.

Friendly staff. Greens were horrible. Not sure what's going on.

I have now played this course 3 times and it is getting worse. The golf carts seats are all ripped up? NonGPS, No water in the ball cleaner or club cleaner on the cart? The fairways have weeds all over, traps have no sand, greens are all patched with dirt and some grass O guess. Go to Hernando Oaks just a few miles away

Nice layout challenging at times with elevation changes rough is just that hard to find balls need to keep on fairway but fun for all types of players

The back 9 is the highlight and provides a fun challenge, you can go low on this course if you take advantage of the more basic front 9. Fairway conditions are average but it’s to be expected of a course of this size and location. You will lose your ball if it flies into the tall rough, some holes the rough needs to be cut as it was not enjoyable hunting through the tall grass to come up without your ball. Overall a great track with good staff and a decent price point, will be back.
