About
Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach is a player-friendly layout that is a popular choice amongst locals. Like most classically designed layouts, the course is short and tight but that also makes it easily walkable. The pin placements on the greens can be tricky and there are also some challenging water hazards that come into play on several holes. The golf course will test your short game skills but there are wide, player-friendly fairways that balance the trickier elements. Beware, though, numerous trees on the golf course make many of the tee shots tight and narrow. It is not an overly difficult layout but it is an enjoyable round that players of any skill level will enjoy. Meadowlark also offers affordable rates that make it doubly appealing.

Staff friendliness
I want to acknowledge Tom (starter) for his positive and friendly attitude. He and manager Steve can accommodate every golfers in any circumstance. We are very happy with Steve and Tom.
No carts
Paid $68 to play on a Saturday morning. Showed up and they had no carts. Checked the price of the same open times and it was half what we paid. We paid $68 through the app and the app showed $34 on my buddies app.
Staff friendliness
i don't know why they have new policy for cart rental: from 10am to 12pm no guaranty to have cart which means no cart. I played there many times and there was no shortage of carts. My tee time was 11:50am, at first the starter did not want to give us any cart although there were three carts available. They said although Golfnow hot deal includes cart but its up to them to give it out per their new policy. I played there every week, same tee time, for several months and I always have carts. I explained to him , offered to pay extra to get the carts, offered to play after 12pm, etc...but he wouldn't budge. Fortunately, Steve the manager was there and heard our conversation. He accommodated us and let the four of us ride. Steve is a good manager, people friendly, and customer oriented. We all appreciated him.

The course and staff are great.
However, one golfer was in an auto accident on the way to the course.
I requested a credit/refund at the course. I was told to contact GolfNow for credit/refund.

Pandemic Golf
Had a great day golfing.
We were not happy we had to walk because there are not enough cart for 1 per person(Covid-19).
Although we played our round in 3 1/2 hours flat.
No bar/beer cart
We still had a great day and Meadowlark condition and pace of play were fantastic!

Manager Seteve is a very good manager efficient and friendly. Helped Accommodate players Staff is super friendly. Will recommend this course
Poor water drainage
Due to late night/early morning rain the course was in rough condition. However outside of conditions that are outside the course and staffs control the course played well.
