About
Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach is a player-friendly layout that is a popular choice amongst locals. Like most classically designed layouts, the course is short and tight but that also makes it easily walkable. The pin placements on the greens can be tricky and there are also some challenging water hazards that come into play on several holes. The golf course will test your short game skills but there are wide, player-friendly fairways that balance the trickier elements. Beware, though, numerous trees on the golf course make many of the tee shots tight and narrow. It is not an overly difficult layout but it is an enjoyable round that players of any skill level will enjoy. Meadowlark also offers affordable rates that make it doubly appealing.

Pandemic Golf
Had a great day golfing.
We were not happy we had to walk because there are not enough cart for 1 per person(Covid-19).
Although we played our round in 3 1/2 hours flat.
No bar/beer cart
We still had a great day and Meadowlark condition and pace of play were fantastic!
Staff
Manager Seteve is a very good manager efficient and friendly. Helped Accommodate players Staff is super friendly. Will recommend this course
Poor water drainage
Due to late night/early morning rain the course was in rough condition. However outside of conditions that are outside the course and staffs control the course played well.
Broke the mark
Best pace of play in a long time, finished the round in 2 hours and 55 minutes to break the 3 hour mark at this course. Was paired up with a very nice gentleman and we played well together. Course conditions were very good and the greens were running pretty fast with some very precarious pin placements for a nice challenging finish to each hole.
The Worst Round EVER!
9:45 tee time finally went off at 10:30 Three groups waiting on every hole. Course conditions were fair at best. Beginners playing on a Sunday morning. Wait Wait Wait every hole. Made the turn at 1:45 - 3 hours for the front nine. Went to Starter who said it was slow on the back they gave our group a 9 hole rain check... doubt I'll be back....
Short but fun
Teed off at 7:45AM in a three-some. Great pace of play. Finished by around 11:00AM. The course is in decent shape for a muni. I would definitely play here again.
Course not honoring tee times
Course will just accommodate golfers by bumping those that made prior reservations. I am not sure why they even use reservation system. Also, foursomes will sneak in between groups. Happened in 7th hope.
QUIT AFTER 13 HOLES. tOO MANY GOLFERS. WILL TRY NOT TO PLAY DURING HOLIDAYS.
Cold wet Christmas Eve round
It was a very cold and wet morning after the heavy rain on the 23rd. The course was cart path only with most fairways flooded or heavily soggy which made the conditions anything but desirable. Those conditions and being paired up with the worlds slowest walker made this almost a 5 hour round (that would have been closer to 3-1/2). With all of that said the greens were almost perfect and ran very fast like a dry summer day. The real highlight were those amazing breakfast burritos we got. Really hit the spot on that cold morning. Overall it was a good round but could have been better.
