Meadowlark Golf Course
About
Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach is a player-friendly layout that is a popular choice amongst locals. Like most classically designed layouts, the course is short and tight but that also makes it easily walkable. The pin placements on the greens can be tricky and there are also some challenging water hazards that come into play on several holes. The golf course will test your short game skills but there are wide, player-friendly fairways that balance the trickier elements. Beware, though, numerous trees on the golf course make many of the tee shots tight and narrow. It is not an overly difficult layout but it is an enjoyable round that players of any skill level will enjoy. Meadowlark also offers affordable rates that make it doubly appealing.

good time
course play was good. Did not have to wait. It went
very fast!
Great Value
For $29 on a Sunday at noon, we got more than our moneys worth. The staff was friendly, the food was good, and a killer bloody mary. My friends that played with me also enjoyed it. The greens were in good shape also.
All in all, enjoyed it!
this course is good for beginner to intermediate
I played with my friends who were mostly beginners. They're all afraid of their playing, but it was really nice people surroundings. We really enjoyed and have a great weather.
Friday 90º Golf
Huntington Beach is a good place to play golf at 90º
Meadowlark
Great deal for the course and a great play to play in the warm weather, close to the beach.
Best round at Meadowlark
I had a great time playing Meadowlark this past Sunday on Mothers Day. Have played here a few times before and always enjoy it. The driving range has nice mats, a chipping green and putting green. Finished 18 holes in exactly 4 hours, which is a lot quicker than the previous times playing here (sometimes 6+ hrs). The course was in great shape, thoroughly enjoyed the greens, as well as the fairways too. Staff is very kind, and Miranda (cart girl) made sure we had cold beverages throughout the day. Tough front pin location on hole 16 ( par 3 ), 150-160 into the heavy front wind, better make your first putt or your ball is coming back down the sloped green. Overall great time at Meadowlark.
slow play
The course played almost 5 hrs on a Friday. Our tee time was 9am and was on time. Greens are tough but the course is short. Over all, not a bad place for a round.
Best part of the round is the breakfast burrito! Best in OC!
Good shape
The course was in good shape. The greens where nice and smooth. Starter was very friendly, he informed us that the groups ahead we're not checked in yet. He got us out right away. Pace was good 4 hours for a twosome behind a foursome. Thanks Meadowlark for a good time.
Slow and poorly managed
While this course has some interesting holes, the odd layout, slow pace of play and poor management definitely kept me from fully enjoying the round. They weren't even announcing first tee groups because their PA system was out. I won't be playing golf at Meadowlark again.
Friday Getaway
Great place to Golf w/ friends, while the wives shop in the area !
slow play
They let 5 somes out and it make the round very slow
High school golf
This course is challenging enough, although I think the biggest challenge was being backed up 4 groups per tee box for most of the day. Some of the groups ahead were so slow, and there was no Marshall to be found.
We did get to watch some of the local high schools in a scramble which was cool. I am just glad I got the tee time at a discounted rate. Full price for this course would be frustrating.
Short but challenging.
51/2 hours sums it up. Need a 6 pack! Short but challenging.
Meadowlark Golf Course Review
Great course for the price. Condition of course was quite good. Course is fair if you hit the ball like you should.
Not a scenic SoCal spot
You can't beat the price. But if you're vacationing in SoCal, you can easily find more "destination"-type courses to play.
Good value
When you comsider the courses in LA and Orange County, I would say this is a good course. You can't just hit the ball, you have to think about each shot with water, dog legs, up hill and down hill shots, its good practice and fun for the new or seasoned golfer. I will play again.
