Meadowlark Golf Course
About
Meadowlark Golf Club in Huntington Beach is a player-friendly layout that is a popular choice amongst locals. Like most classically designed layouts, the course is short and tight but that also makes it easily walkable. The pin placements on the greens can be tricky and there are also some challenging water hazards that come into play on several holes. The golf course will test your short game skills but there are wide, player-friendly fairways that balance the trickier elements. Beware, though, numerous trees on the golf course make many of the tee shots tight and narrow. It is not an overly difficult layout but it is an enjoyable round that players of any skill level will enjoy. Meadowlark also offers affordable rates that make it doubly appealing.

slow play
The course played almost 5 hrs on a Friday. Our tee time was 9am and was on time. Greens are tough but the course is short. Over all, not a bad place for a round.
Best part of the round is the breakfast burrito! Best in OC!
Good shape
The course was in good shape. The greens where nice and smooth. Starter was very friendly, he informed us that the groups ahead we're not checked in yet. He got us out right away. Pace was good 4 hours for a twosome behind a foursome. Thanks Meadowlark for a good time.
Slow and poorly managed
While this course has some interesting holes, the odd layout, slow pace of play and poor management definitely kept me from fully enjoying the round. They weren't even announcing first tee groups because their PA system was out. I won't be playing golf at Meadowlark again.
Friday Getaway
Great place to Golf w/ friends, while the wives shop in the area !
slow play
They let 5 somes out and it make the round very slow
High school golf
This course is challenging enough, although I think the biggest challenge was being backed up 4 groups per tee box for most of the day. Some of the groups ahead were so slow, and there was no Marshall to be found.
We did get to watch some of the local high schools in a scramble which was cool. I am just glad I got the tee time at a discounted rate. Full price for this course would be frustrating.
Short but challenging.
51/2 hours sums it up. Need a 6 pack! Short but challenging.
Meadowlark Golf Course Review
Great course for the price. Condition of course was quite good. Course is fair if you hit the ball like you should.
Not a scenic SoCal spot
You can't beat the price. But if you're vacationing in SoCal, you can easily find more "destination"-type courses to play.
Good value
When you comsider the courses in LA and Orange County, I would say this is a good course. You can't just hit the ball, you have to think about each shot with water, dog legs, up hill and down hill shots, its good practice and fun for the new or seasoned golfer. I will play again.
Overcharged
Booked on my phone one hour prior and when I got there, I was charged $48.00 instead of $29.00. Also, the greens were punched recently and we were putting across sand. Overcharged, punched greens and being paired up with a dad and his 10-year old who played for the first time. Not my idea of a good morning.
Windy but manageable
Had a good time playing, however it was not disclosed on the Golf Now site that the course was
sanding the greens. Received a discount for that , but still should know up-front.
Fun day
Fun day even though long day (5 hr +) but weekend during spring break. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely play again here.
Three amigos day on the links
Course was in good shape even with sanded greens. Pace of play good. Layout was interesting.
Great Local Course
The course was in Good shape for this time of year.
We played quickly and had a great time.
Overall the course is very fair and easy to see from the tee box. A couple of holes are a little tricky with some water or small crowned greens. Just enough to keep you interested.
Plenty of room to hit & have a fun round.
good value
great weather, friendly people , good value , close to home .
good course
Challenging yet playable I'll be back to shoot a better score
Great course for the money
Course was in great condition, staff was very nice.
A little gem
I am from Victoria B. C. My spouse and I come to Ca. At this time to golf and visit our daughter. Huntington Beach is a new spot to stay for us. Meadowlark Golf Course has been a huge bonus to our holiday. Reasonably priced for daily games. The course layout provides a good challenge. The ambiance and friendly people keep us coming back. What a gift this little gem of a course has been.Watch out for the water on 7&8!
