Cypress Point Country Club
About
Cypress Point Country Club is conveniently located within minutes of the Norfolk International Airport and the Virginia Beach Town Center. Despite its accessibility, the golf course feels peacefully isolated, making it a great choice for golfers who are looking for the convenience of a city course with the pace and beauty of the countryside. It's a layout that is as challenging as it is scenic with strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and fairways. The occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course will challenge players of all skill levels but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. Beginners will still be able to enjoy a round at Cypress Point Country Club. Besides the course, the club is also popular for its practice facility, which has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

Cozy Course
Fair course, Greens in great shape for April 3. Homes are very close on some holes. Pace of play was slow. We followed a foursome of seniors and had to wait on every hole. No offer to play thru or marshals. One of our group quit after 13, tried of the slow play.
Friendly golfers great greens
I was a single that joined a three some. The others in my group were great. The course was in good shape for early spring and the greens were in great shape. Great time for the money
Very Nice
As always well kept and great condition, even following heavy rains
Considering all other courses were soaking wet this one was just fine!
We'd had rain every other day for weeks and all other courses were like sponges, cart path only (might as well walk the course), sand traps like lakes, etc. Cypress was surprisingly dry, 90 degrees with the cart and the traps were actually in really good shape. Considering the time of year it was a fun round.
Always enjoyable
This course is always in pretty good shape. Even after a few days of rain this course drains well. I recommend this course.
great place to play
I always enjoy playing at this course.Pace at this course is excellent.
Great layout and challenge
The staff was today and always friendly. Course always seem to be in good shape, today no exception. My enjoyment is playing the last 3 holes on each none. Great way to finish and that's why I continue to play this course. I recommend this course and challenge to everyone. Give number 7 your best shot.
This course has snobs working there
I went to this course this morning and thought I would play this course and give it a try, after I paid the $21.04 for nine holes. I was approached by the starter who was very rude and obnoxious and very arrogant. He was very rude when asking me where are you going to be? this began to make me hot, I almost ask for a refund because of his arrogance. but I kept my cool and proceeded to start on the first tee In all my years of experiencing arrogant people I have never been approached by such a sarcastic person. he forgot that the customers pay his salary. I strongly recommend for new customers find somewhere else to play if you don't want to be insulted. I will never play this coursed again.
Greens are in perfect condition.
Nice Club house and Proshop.
Good time to play is first of the week.
This course is always in great playing condition.
This course is always in great playing condition. Nice course.
REALLY ENJOYABLE LAYOUT.
COURSE HAS A GREAT LAYOUT. TRULY ENJOYABLE COURSE TO PLAY. WOULD DEFINITELY PLAY IT AGAIN. ONLY ISSUE I HAVE IS THE SAME I HAVE WITH ALL HAMPTON ROADS GOLF MANAGED COURSES. NO YARDAGE BOOKS OR LAYOUT OF HOLES ON SCORE CARDS. THERE'S A LAYOUT ON THE SIGN BY THE TEE AND THAT'S ALL SHE WROTE. WITH A COURSE LIKE THIS, THE SCORE CARD SHOULD HAVE MORE THAN JUST A PIN POSITION.
great value for a nice course
Course is in good shape especially for the month of November. I will definitely be back again soon!
Very nice course !
Nice course layout, fairly challenging with large well maintained greens. Starter allowed a single walker in front of multiple larger groups, really slowed up play. But an overall great time !
Nice course
Was pleasantly surprised by the intelligent course design and well-maintained fairways/greens. Course runs through a residential subdivision, but few houses in range of errant shots. Nice variety of holes will test most clubs in bag.
Narrow, tree-lined fairways, a few water holes, and well-placed traps provide challenge. But it's a relatively short course, allowing for scoring opportunities and a brisk pace of play.
Good price course
Greens are good but fairways and roughs are ok. Not a bad practice round.
Great Course
The greens and fairways were in excellent shape and there were some beautiful holes.
Fun course. Some easy holes, some long narrow holes. Pace of play was good overall. Staff could have been friendler.
Have played here a number of times. To expensive unless you get a deal, such as GolfNow. Staff has never been friendly and sometimes on the verge of rude. Well kept greens and fairways, fall leaves make it difficult to find your ball if not in the fairway. Overall I do like this course it has a verity of shots needed to score well.
could have used a course marshall to provide golf etiquette lessons
2nd time to play Cypress Point in Virginia Beach, the course itself, I'd play it everyday!! In good condition, a challenge, a terrific round of golf both times I've been there. The 4-some of golfing-course-member-residents we followed on our round could use the full course on golf etiquette!!! Ball mark repair, racking sand, rate/speed of play, courtesy, and there are no 3 mulligan tee shots!! Frustrating group to follow with no course marshall in sight.
Price
Awesome course for such a low price and before noon. Completed 18 holes in 2 1/2 hours so we went around again and replay was only $20.
