NO WATER
The course was a decent course to play. However there's no water on the course and we only saw the beverage Cart one time. I would not recommend playing this course if the temperatures are above 85° unless you have a 12 pack of water with you. Expensive in the morning for the value of the course. Little bit more relative in the afternoon at $50, but still very high considering the condition of greens and fairways.
Beautiful time of year
Course is in great shape, challenging and fun downward playing par 3s. Watch out for houses on some holes. My wife and I played the canyons two days in a row and the second time was more enjoyable because we knew the layout better.
Lacking service
Other than the guy in the pro shop the service needs work. We got our cart and there was no ice or waters in the cooler. It was 104 degrees!! No beverage service out on the course. You can fill water bottles at the fountain by the restrooms. Played the Canyons and the snack bar at the end of 9 is lame. No ice machine there and you only get ice if you by a 6 pack of beer. Tried getting a drink at the end of 18 and stood at the bar and no one came over to help us so we just left.
If you do play this course and it’s hot I would suggest bringing your own ice and beverages.
Nice Course
Played the Canyons course on a Sunday around 11 am . Great layout ,pace of play was very good, about 4hrs. Greens rolled true , they were medium to fast. The staff were very nice and I think it was a great value at 45$ on Golf Now.
I enjoyed my round even though the wind was 20-30 mph. Greens were in good shape, fast and true. However they were hard and would not hold. Fairways and rough was in good shape and wide enough. Sand was crunchy.

No water, no beverage cart, no outside coolers heat stroke FREE
First impression- we arrived an hour early and saw what I assume are retired guys running carts, joking and smoking in the first few primo parking spots sitting on some carts. We stopped to ask if they were available for us and they said “no, he has to carry your bags” pointing and laughing at the oldest member of our group in the back seat. We took it good naturedly and drove to the back of the parking lot to the available spots. We went into the clubhouse to check in and buy range balls. We asked about carts and were told they have no idea, we had to ask the 60 year old frat boys out front. Walked outside, frat boys gone, no carts, no help. We finally figured out the “boys” were holding the parking spots and the carts for their buddies. By the time we got carts, loaded our clubs and found the driving range, I hit two balls before we were called to the first tee.
Once on the course we were told that the snack shack would close at 3:30. What weren’t told is the cart girls would quit at the same time. It’s going to be really hot soon, if you play there in the pm, you better buy a lot of water or sneak it on.
Very nice. Confusing/lack of signs
Pros- good/great condition. Several sand bunkers had been turned into grass bunkers. I say this is a pro because like most courses where the wind blows a lot, it’s very hard to keep decent sand in them. It’s still a penalty when you end up in one these so I think this is a good compromise. The rest of the sand bunkers were in very good condition as well as the rest of the course. The clubhouse/pro shop staff was polite and friendly. Driving range was in good shape with balls available.
Cons-Had a heck of a time finding the first tee and getting across street to the driving range. Very little signage or marked crossings. Even when we were told which direction to head there were a couple of intersections that we weren’t sure which way to go. We had to cross a 4 lane divided street with no marked crossing and a bit of fast moving traffic. Same with the paths from one hole to another. Play got a little slow on the back but we finished in 4:15. But all in all a great value. Heading to the sister course Palmer, today.
Beautiful Views and a great course
This is a fun course and the views are amazing. Every golfer will love the challenge of course.
great fun
was a pleaseure to play starter was superb and an overall great fun day
Windy
Course is in good shape and really challenging in 30mph+ winds. Playing your first round on this course with someone who has played it previously would be an advantage as some holes have blind landing areas for your second shot and knowing the correct yardage to place your shot would help. Very visually interesting layout and landscape. Will look forward to playing this course in better weather!
Beautiful Course with Lots of Elevation Challenges
This course is a real treat with beautiful views and course challenges.
Interesting course in many ways
The layout of the course meanders through neighborhoods, washes, and picture postcard holes. You seldom see any other golfers other than those in front or behind you.
It is an advantage if you're with someone who has played the course previously as some holes hide their proper landing/layup spots. Playing in windy conditions (30mph+) made some holes extremely challenging.
Looking forward to playing the course again under "normal" conditions.
