About
When Hell's Point Golf Club opened in 1982, Golf Digest called it one of the best new courses and it was ranked as one of the 100 best-designed courses in the country. Renowned architect Rees Jones designed the course. He incorporated the many natural features provided by the golf course's location in the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. The fairways are edged with saltwater marshes and Jones included his signature sculpted bunkers along the greensides. Just a stone's throw from the ocean, the golf course is as scenic as it is challenging. The second hole is one of southeastern Virginia's toughest golf holes with out-of-bounds to the left, trees to the right, and a sloped fairway that leads to a well guarded, double-tiered green. This par 4 is the no. 1 handicap hole at When Hell's Point Golf Club.

Good Value for Golf
I found an excellent price on TeeOff for this course, which was hard to pass up. Unfortunately, when I got there, I learned that the front nine was closed for aerating, so I had to play the back nine twice.
There were goats around the 16th green, that that also meant goat droppings on the green! Not too nice to putt through.
Challenge for different levels
Different level players can find varied challenge.
I got a hot deal today. It is really money worth. Though there was frost last night, it was not bad when we started at 11 am, and cart rule is 90 degrees, loving it.
COLD DAY, WARM RECEPTION!
I played this Golf Course again for the second time today. The weather was dry, but windy and a bit chilly. The staff were all very warm and welcoming! I love the 17th hole! It is very challenging. I highly recommend you have a round of golf here!

Last played over 20 years ago. Overall not bad. Had fun holes. As expected in Virginia Beach grounds were a tad saturated, but not anymore so than others in the area.
Game went smooth with our foursome.
The course was wet today
Nice course... however balls will plug when fairway is wet
