Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course

Don't judge this course by the listed yardage. Yes, it is short, However, strategic placing of mounds, fairway traps, and trees, particularly groups of palm trees, require the player to pay attention. The greens are interesting due to undulations, unusual shaping, and differing sizes. The course is in excellent condition, lush throughout. Don't expect a lot of roll, at least not when the temperature tops 100, but you will have nice lies and the greens are true. My partner and I both thoroughly enjoyed our round.

It was a Sunday, so perhaps it's a lot better mid-week. Just very slow golfers in front of us, and unaware of etiquette. Otherwise the course layout is interesting, it's beautiful up there, and in excellent condition.

Played the back tees and it wasn't particularly long, less than 6700 yards. Very nice track, I'll play it again next time. Not much trouble on the course. The holes that do have water are mostly short, so not much trouble. Excellent staff and facility. Restaurant was also very nice and the food was great. Very nice "feel good" course.

Indian Canyon South is the best value per shot in the city. If this facility was in Phoenix it would be my weekly club and if were private I would absolutely be a member.

Do not pass this gem! Condition are perfect every time I have played. The staff makes you feel like you are at a high end private club and the course is one of the best shot for shot courses I have ever played.

Great course and even better value! The fairways, greens and tee boxes are all in great condition and the layout and views are spectacular! I've played several of the PGA West courses, the Marriott courses and others in the area and would have to say this is the winner when it comes to value! It's about HALF what those other premium courses charge. The staff was very friendly and welcoming as well. I highly recommend it.

This was a very nice course. The greens were pretty quick but rolled true. Pace of play was great. I played 2 pm on a Saturday and did not run into next group tell hole 15. Great place staff were great and friendly..

We played the South Course. It was wonderful. Greens were in great shape. Rolled very well. The views are amazing. I would definitely recommend the south course to others.

Tee'd off at 6:45am behind 2 other singles. Perfect weather, pace was clearly awesome, starter was very friendly. I have played here before and was quite excited to come back after years away. Great layout, great scenery.

I found the course conditions to be average at BEST. Many places the grass was growing over the cart path edges, sand all over the cart paths in many places, downed palm fronds and other landscape garbage were frequent. Just felt very unkept. Pro shop gal could work on her customer service as well. Friendly is not a word I would use to describe her.

For this kind of price I expected it to be manicured like it has been in the past. I was disappointed to say the least. At MOST this is an $80USD golf course right now. Starter told me they are investing $500K into the North course to make it better. I hope they spend some of that money on the South side to freshen it up as well.

I will come back again I just hope it's in better shape next time. Certainly wouldn't pay more than $100 to play again.
