About
Nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, Indian Canyons Golf Resort offers two championship courses with stunning views. The two golf courses, North and South, have completely different layouts but they are both sheltered from the wind thanks to the surrounding mountains. The South Course is the shorter of the two, making it the more player-friendly course. That is not to say it is not a challenge though. The rolling fairways are framed by contoured mounding and four expansive lakes come into play on six holes. The par 5s are particularly memorable. There are also well over 1,300 palm trees throughout the golf course, which includes hundreds of Washingtonia filifera palms. These trees are native to the Agua Caliente Tribe and an important part of their history.

Negative changes
We have played this course several times over the years. I actually love the layout and playability. I have actually referred to it as my “favorite” course.
The pricing was outrageous, especially given the fact that there was hardly anyone on the course. I understand that, since Covid, courses have raised their prices.
The other thing that was a “negative” surprise is that the only time we saw the snack cart was after we finished. We noticed it parked in the cart return area.
On our next trip into Palm Springs, we will have to find another “favorite” course.
Great layout and nice course! Enjoyed playing this course as a decent golfer so would definitely recommend to others . Greens were in great shape so kudos to the keepers. no real complaints - I liked the challenges it presented and will play again.
Love this Course!
Beautiful course up against the mountains. First nine played without too much waiting, but back nine was very slow. We were twosome starting at 1:50 finished at 5:30.
Fun course with a mix of everything
Staff was great from the moment we pulled up to the bag drop area. We had four foursomes going out and they had already brought out all the rental clubs we would need for our large group. Always a good sign when the course has seed in their divot filler bottles and it shows with this course, the fairways were in great condition!! The layout is fun with challenging shots to make you think a little off the tee. We had a lot of fun playing here, if the cost is in a good spot for you then I would highly recommend it!!
Great day at Indian Canyon - South Course
I arrived for an early tee time and the staff was welcoming and helpful for my first time playing the course. The starter was helpful with tips for the day and the pace of play as the second group off was excellent. The course was in great shape and the layout was challenging yet very playable. We Finished in 3 and a half hours so headed into the clubhouse for breakfast. The egg white omelette and fruit plate was amazing and the staff super friendly.
Favourite course
Always my favourite course and always in great shape. Staff always friendly willing to help. Beverage cart girls is so friendly does a great job.
