About
Nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, Indian Canyons Golf Resort offers two championship courses with stunning views. The two golf courses, North and South, have completely different layouts but they are both sheltered from the wind thanks to the surrounding mountains. The South Course is the shorter of the two, making it the more player-friendly course. That is not to say it is not a challenge though. The rolling fairways are framed by contoured mounding and four expansive lakes come into play on six holes. The par 5s are particularly memorable. There are also well over 1,300 palm trees throughout the golf course, which includes hundreds of Washingtonia filifera palms. These trees are native to the Agua Caliente Tribe and an important part of their history.

Senior Golfer
Course was in great shape overall. Only thing is greens were slow. If speed was increased that would have made overall rating excellent
Not your usual desert course.
The redesign made this course pretty tough. Whichever tee you play. You can easily find yourself in a fairway trap, amongst one of the many mature trees, with some funky lie in the long grass, water hazard, or desert wasteland. Tee shot is at a premium on this course.
Three par 3's on the front 9. Kinda unheard of nowadays. Hopefully you can get some good scores on them because the par 5's on this course are difficult. And the well placed hazards on the par 4's can seriously put a damper on your round.
Greens don't break as much as they seem. With the exception of the tiered greens.
Canyons South is rated No 1 public course in the Coachella valley for a reason.
Indian Canyon South
Palm Springs has a lot of nice courses but not much is nicer in this price range. Greens were resort casual (slowish) but smooth and consistent. Rough was not punitive but clean. Pace was great.
Beautiful, very very friendly staff
The time was very enjoyable from getting out of our cars getting our clubs on the carts the starter cart girl the marshals and inside at the restaurant waiter and waitresses were fabulous. Highly recommend this golf course for anyone.

This is a nice course with all the challenge you want. The conditions were very good and the weather was perfect.
It is a bit pricey or I would play it more often.
Can’t Miss
You can’t miss with this course. Be sure to reserve the South Course. Great conditions and layout - with some of the best food around. Come early or stay late to enjoy both the golf and cuisine!
Great for double digits
I’m an 18 handicap. Played the white tees. Might play the blues next time. But will play it again.
Best public course to play in Palm Springs
Indian Canyons South is simply beautiful! A must play when in Palm Springs.
Nice course
First of all we had lunch before we teed off and the food and service was excellent. Course was in great shape. Nicely marked fairways but my expectation when I’m paying this price is to have G PS on the carts.
Very Nice Palm Springs Track
My group enjoyed Indian Canyons. Range was good, practice area was good, and all of the staff were very, very nice. In fact, the restaurant had our food delivered to the course as my group was running behind when we ordered. Thank you!!! Course is a solid track. It was our first course to play during a 4 day buddies golf trip and Indian Canyons did not disappoint. We'd definitely come back.
