About
Nestled in the heart of Virginia Beach, Honey Bee Golf Club is one of the area's most popular daily-fee golfing venues. Rees Jones designed the course, incorporating water on 10 holes as well as intricate bunkering throughout. The challenging layout has several tricky doglegs and some treacherous blind shots as well. It's a golf course that demands careful course management and some strategic thinking. Accurate shot placement is also key when maneuvering the rolling fairways and contoured greens. While it's by no means an easy golf course, it is an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels, making it a popular venue for tournaments and corporate outings. For golfers looking to get an entire day of golf in, Honey Bee's sister club, Stumpy Lake, is only about half a mile away.

Honey Bee
They had scheduled a shotgun start for a golf group. Out T Time was delayed by 20 min.
The slow pace of play meant it took us 4:30 minutes
Enjoyable Round
We played this course based on the reviews of other players. What a nice course! The condition of the course this late in the year was great, tee boxes, fairways and especially the greens. A small bare spot here an there but again it was late in the year. Loved the layout which offered some challenges and some strategically placed sand traps. Very picturesque course. Looking forward to playing it again when in the area.
Great short course for the money
This was a really good course with really nice fairways and excellent greens. I was really surprised how nice the course was for the money. The course does a nice job of utilizing hazards and dog legs to make up for its relatively short layout. If you like using driver off the tee, this may not be the course for you, but for those who like to mix it up on the box it is perfect. Only area in need of improvement were a few bunkers that need attention (flooded/eroded). Other than that, the greens are fast and smooth and the fairways are well kept for a great price.
Decent Course
The fairways are pretty good. The greens are hit and miss. None are atrocious but they also aren’t good. Beer prices are ridiculous.
I enjoy the course layout. It’s challenging but not so difficult a beginner can’t play here.
However, value for the money, it’s not worth the $50 a round. 30-35 a round is more reasonable.

Course was in very good shape. Fast greens. Very forgiving fairways.
Great Value Course
Good course. Greens and fairways in great shape. Only complaint was some tee boxes were a bit beat up. Driving range and putting green were in good shape.
Best course I’ve shot 18 at
By far the best course, I’m a beginner So it was a tough course but overall an amazing experience!!! I am contemplating buying a membership To honeybee

Course was in good shape despite the previous days rainfall. Greens were in good shape. Some tee boxes were in bad shape, but still playable.
Incredibly Rude Staff
Too short course with mediocre conditions, but the real problem is the guy at the desk in the pro shop. He is incredibly rude and clearly doesn't care if customers have a good day or plan to return. I spoke with some of the regulars, and the nicest thing any of them said was "He's always like that...Just a terrible attitude." Why any course or business would have someone like this as their contact with the public is just inexplicable. I've seen reviews on several sites calling them out for this guy, but apparently they don't care.
Great Course
One of the best in the area. Greens were in great condition. Provided some challenging shots as well as scoring opportunities. Driving range was a bit beat up, but still functional. Don’t forget to get a beer for the price of your score at the end (87= $0.87)
Great course
I think if you played here before then you know pace of play is a little slow at times. Course is in the best condition I’ve ever seen it in. I will definitely be going more often.
Great Round...Course was in great condition as ALWAYS
Again...course was in great condition...people were friendly. Play was a little slower this time, but nothing unusual for a July sunday morning.

Great course with challenging holes. Some involving risk/reward decisions. Good driving range. Food in the clubhouse is good.
