About
Nestled in the heart of Virginia Beach, Honey Bee Golf Club is one of the area's most popular daily-fee golfing venues. Rees Jones designed the course, incorporating water on 10 holes as well as intricate bunkering throughout. The challenging layout has several tricky doglegs and some treacherous blind shots as well. It's a golf course that demands careful course management and some strategic thinking. Accurate shot placement is also key when maneuvering the rolling fairways and contoured greens. While it's by no means an easy golf course, it is an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels, making it a popular venue for tournaments and corporate outings. For golfers looking to get an entire day of golf in, Honey Bee's sister club, Stumpy Lake, is only about half a mile away.

Not Bad
Course itself was in decent shape. Tee boxes are what really need work. Only 1 hole (outside of Par 3's) was cart path only. (dur to being super wet). Love this course overall and definitely recommend this course.
Great Round...Course was in great condition as ALWAYS
Play a round starting at 910am. Got paired up with 2 guys that had never played at Honeybee before. They even commented several times how great the course is kept. The bunkers even seemed as if new sand had been added and how smooth the greens are. This course is 5 minutes from my home and I play it average twice a month. It is always in excellent condition and the service is always friendly across the board.
Nice layout and condition!
Honey Bee is a nice find this year. Being new to the area I find this course open, challenging and in general well maintained. So far I've played the course about 7 times, which is more then any other course I've played in the area.
Fall is great for golf.
Decided to take the day off and play golf all day. Was spectacular, enjoyed two rounds and had lunch at Honey Bee. Greens were rough but the rest of course was awesome. .

Greens were very sandy and rough.
Fairways are in very good shape...
Some bunkers had a lot of water others were in decent shape.
Pace of play was pretty slow for a weekday... which is very unusual.
Save your money
Front nine closed for aeration so everyone packed onto back. Good course for casual golfer but I don't recommend it. Greens slow and grounds keeping sloppy.
Iver crowded
Got to the 6th hole. Two foursomes waiting. People in the fairway and on the green. Would have to wait 20 to 30 minutes just to hit my next ball. I left...
Holy Divots
Look, overall I will play this course again and again. But still don't care for some of the staff at the front desk and for whatever reason this year NO ONE will fix their divots. Ive never seen so many unfixed divots on these greens. I can't blame the grounds crew for this. Its just inconsiderate golfers. I'm fixing atleast 3-4 divots in my line every hole. Other than that, still my home course that I love to play.
