About
Located close to the San Tan Mountains, the course at the Lone Tree Golf Club offers not only a good game but also beautiful mountain views. This championship golf course was done in a traditional desert-style with rolling fairways and fast greens that are large and undulating. There are also several sand bunkers that protect both the fairways and the greens. Water hazards come into play on five holes and extensive mounding adds further challenge. The course features four sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Lone Tree Golf Club boasts extensive practice facilities including a targeted grass range, a large putting green, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Great Value
The course was in great shape, and the greens were fast. The pace of play was perfect. I was able to start just before 2 PM and finish before dark. My only disappointment was they close the kitchen at 4 o’clock, so I was not able to get any food after my round of golf

Nice Greens
Very nice greens, nice fairways a lot of over seeded grass around greens. Nice course for the money.

Bad first impression
I arrived at Lone tree, checked in at pro shop… all good , until I wanted to buy “ warm up bag of balls. The gentleman in pro shop informed me they only had one size, 60 balls, $13. I was disappointed about the price and the whole concept. ONLY professionals and 40 handicappers hit 60 balls before a round !!! I’m a 62 year old, 7 handicap…. I (and 99% of golfers) just need 20-25 balls. The course itself was in good shape, virtually no trouble to be found. Hopefully they find a different a different earning source besides overcharging for range balls.
Getting costly
Easy to find. Can’t bring carts to car easy check in. Ice in cart chests. Water buckets for towels. Water on course. Nice seats on carts but getting somewhat beat. Getting busy. Tees good. Fairways pretty nice. Roughs are spotty with grass. Bunkers playable. Greens nice and pretty fast. Played in 4:20. Cost getting pretty high.
Thank you for your detailed review of Lone Tree. Unfortunately, we do not allow carts in the parking lot for liability issues and safety concerns (there have been some close calls). Great value for a nice course
Course as a whole is in very good condition. One of my go to courses in the South Phoenix area

Excellent condition and weather. Course in great shape. Pace of play was great. Beverage girl quick and friendly. Bar service outstanding with delicious Bloody Mary’s. Highly recommend to play this hidden fun course.

Thank you for coming out to Lone Tree. Holidays can be quite busy, but our rangers work hard to keep play moving at a suitable pace. While we our preferred pace is 4 hours, during the busiest days (holidays, weekends, frost delays) the pace of play may stretch out to 4 hours and 15 minutes to 4 hours and 30 minutes as it was on Monday. Thank goodness for our beautiful weather golfers can enjoy!
