Lone Tree Golf Club

Normally this course is in good condition but now it is in very bad condition. The fairways and rough have a lot of areas that are unplayable due to dead grass, bare dirt. Staff is plugging to combat high temps to get water down and off the surface but it’s going to take months to get everything to start growing. Greens have fungus and mower cutting grooves which makes putting a little wobbly. Fairways need to grow in but to implement cart path only with our high summer temps (+100 degrees now) will greatly reduce play. Not worth the $34 discounted price right now. Hope they get this turned around.

Horrible condition, being in the rough was better than the fairway. No solid chipping areas near green. Very awful experience for $40

That was the worst course I have ever played (condition wise) in my 30 years in AZ. All winter long Lone Tree was charging way too much for the course so I was looking forward to playing and was I disappointed. The reasons given for the poor condition just do not hold water because courses within 5 miles have no problem growing grass so why does Lone Tree? I do not see me playing that course any time in the near future.

They were aerating the greens when we went but we still had a good time. Other than that the course was in good shape. Staff was friendly. No complaints!

Course is in HORRIBLE conditions. Almost no grass in the fairway. Save your money and play elsewhere

Summer rates are still nice chunk of change. Course is wide and has nice range of hole types.

We really like this course. It is interesting and fun and there was basically nobody on the course so we played very quickly.

However, since it was summer, the grass was cut very short and there were some spots that were tough to play out of.

Overall good but definitely could use some better summer upkeep

Let's face it amateur golfers don't want to pay 150 plus per round. Give this course a shot, pretty nice track.

Don’t understand why anyone would leave a 1 or 2 star review for this course unless they had a terrible pace of play issue or trouble with the Golf Staff. The Price is Right! $34 per player at 7:00am, great deal. In the condition you’d expect for summer but like I said, their price is right. Greens are true and fast!!! Have to play defense putting here. Helps that I shot my best round ever here. Fun course, will be back!

I have played this course DOZENS of times in the 22 years it has been in existence and I have NEVER seen it in this poor of condition.......Fairways scalped and HUGE plug holes from punching because the members refuse to use the 90 degree rule, greens also "power raked" and micro punched and the bunkers have not been touched since the Canadians left before Easter.

Course was in aeration but it was still in great condition!

Several fairways are being removated as they were unable to get the bermuda to grow(?). Most tee boxes also torn up. Greens had been micro-scalped. Round was not pricey but not that enjoyable.
