About
Located close to the San Tan Mountains, the course at the Lone Tree Golf Club offers not only a good game but also beautiful mountain views. This championship golf course was done in a traditional desert-style with rolling fairways and fast greens that are large and undulating. There are also several sand bunkers that protect both the fairways and the greens. Water hazards come into play on five holes and extensive mounding adds further challenge. The course features four sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Lone Tree Golf Club boasts extensive practice facilities including a targeted grass range, a large putting green, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Lone Tree in poor shape
Several fairways are being removated as they were unable to get the bermuda to grow(?). Most tee boxes also torn up. Greens had been micro-scalped. Round was not pricey but not that enjoyable.
Pace of play was great
It was a little slow on the front nine but mainly because we were a twosome and had a foursome in front of us.
They were very reasonable and let us through on 11 and finished the round in 3.5 hours.
The course is in great shape and challenging if you do not stay in the fairway. Sand in the bunkers around the greens, although fairway bunkers were crunchy.
Had a great time, thanks to the staff.
Not worth the money right now
Course was in rough shape, fairways were sparce and had recently been aereated, greens were so so shape. This course has gone down hill the last year or so for the money they charge. No marshall out keeping up the pace of play. We tee'd off early in the day and played over a 4 1/2 hour round.
The only complaint that I would have is that we didn’t see the cart girl at all.
Over Priced
There is no reason to pay full price at this course right now. Every hole seems to be under repair. Dead spots or just dirt in fairways. The person who takes care of this course should call the person at Las Colinas in Queen CreeK and find out how to take care of a course and at normal pricing it’s $40-$50 cheaper and it’s in great shape. Lone Tree if you’re charging these prices then take care of your course!!!
Plays well, but does not look as good.
The greens looked poor, but ran fast and true. The ninth hole around the green is unfair. Shaving the collar and rough between the wate and the green was unnecessary.

a very nice coarse, well layed out, fairways need some work greens excellent and very challenging suttle borrows and can be difficult to read first time staff extremely friendly and helpful overall an enjoyable round
Solid track!
Its a crisp track! Nice layout. Just the right amount of challenge.
Reasonable Track at a Reasonable Price
Lone Tree is a straightforward course that’s not tricked-up. Greens are in good condition and most are easy to read. Fairways are in moderate condition, apparently in transition to summer grasses. This isn’t a high-end resort but it’s a pretty fun course to play.
