Complete madness

Everything started off great, I was a single and got paired with a threesome. No one was in front of us or behind us for the first 3–4 holes. Then out of nowhere, from behind us comes a single playing by himself… We let him go through of course… The next hole same thing, a single shows up behind us… By the 12th hole, we had seven singles that we had to let go by. it made absolutely zero sense… I mean I was paired with somebody… So it ended up being like a 5 1/2 hour round because we had to wait on singles to go through. And there was a few that didn’t want to go through, then eventually another single would catch up to him… It was just a complete disaster. And the course was in terrible shape as well… Whoever set the pins has never played a round of golf i’m pretty sure… One of them was about 3 feet from the fringe upfront… With a white flag, not red. It was 100° outside and there was no cart girl… The only good thing I have to say is the staff in the pro shop was great and it was a hot deals so I got a very good price. Bottom line is, they need to start pairing up the singles… It was ridiculous out there. Not impressed at all with the course… Especially how they ran it.

Course in great shape

Late summer - fairways in great condition, greens in great condition. Only in 2 greenside sand traps, also in good shape.

Pretty Solid

Course was in good summer shape. It’s pretty forgiving, with a couple of fun exceptions. Played the blues. Long drivers (250+ carry) can easily play the blacks. Only saw the beverage cart once. Granted, a Saturday afternoon in September isn’t exactly peak season here. No drinking water on the course. Pace was sub 4 hour. I think we saw a ranger once. Overall, no real issues and had a fun time.

Desert ⛳️ Golf

My wife and I really enjoyed playing this course. It is Located close to the San Tan Mountains. Lone Tree Golf Club offers not only a good experience but also beautiful mountain views. We were not aware that this course is a championship golf course. However it seems that it was done in a traditional desert-style with rolling fairways and fast greens that are large and undulating. There are also several sand bunkers (hate the beach ) that protect both the fairways and the greens. Water hazards which are challenging come into play on five holes and extensive mounding adds further challenges. All things considered and that I only hit the water once made it a great experience.

Lone Tree

The course was in great shape. Easy to follow the layout and pace of play was right on. The only problem was the heat. We unfortunately made a Ttime at 8:51 which turned out to be a late start. Bye the time we finished it was 105🥵

Hot Hot 🥵

The course was in great shape, first time golfing in Arizona in September with a T time of 8:50 turned out to be extremely hot. When we finished it was 105. However, it was not as humid as it would have been back in Northern IN.

Disappointed

Played this course several times and never has it been in such terrible condition.

Wouldn’t play again until they get the course back to where it needs to be..fairways and rough need trimming and greens were poor.

Summer in AZ

Course was overall in pretty good shape for the AZ summer, greens still in recovery from being punched and a little slow. Was a good day.

Good value

the course was in overall good condition. The greens were slow but that is to be expected this time of year. Some of the sand traps were very compacted. This allowed some shots to jump through which could be either lucky or unlucky depending on if there was a water hazard nearby. Overall the pace of play was perfect and the course was enjoyable.

Better than expected!

Biggest praise is for the staff. From the pro shop to the starter to the Bev cart to the grounds crew, everyone was so friendly and welcoming; genuinely above and beyond compared to other courses.

Other than that, the course was in such great shape for being end of summer. Fairways were green, bunkers were nice, greens rolled true. At under $60 for a 6:30am tee time, Lone Tree is such a good value compared to other courses in the valley right now. First time here since it’s a far drive, but definitely will play here again!

Good day on the course

Love this course. It's moderately challenging and almost always in good playing shape...especially in the hot weather months in Phoenix. Greens and fairways were great. Pace of play was excellent (4 hours).

A wide open course

I was surprised when we started that they weren’t very busy. We had the course to ourselves, very quick round. The fairways were very wide, grass was in great shape. The greens were very big with very nice tight grass, rolled very well. Very good value for the quality of the course.
