About
Located close to the San Tan Mountains, the course at the Lone Tree Golf Club offers not only a good game but also beautiful mountain views. This championship golf course was done in a traditional desert-style with rolling fairways and fast greens that are large and undulating. There are also several sand bunkers that protect both the fairways and the greens. Water hazards come into play on five holes and extensive mounding adds further challenge. The course features four sets of tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all skill levels. Lone Tree Golf Club boasts extensive practice facilities including a targeted grass range, a large putting green, and a short game area with a sand bunker.

Golfer Reviews
A little slow
We love the course and have never had much trouble, but this day, we got started early and ended up in a line up with about 3 groups ahead of us and two behind, It was over booked.
Nice challenging course
I golfed this course with a couple of friends and we all thought the course was challenging yet fare. The tee blocks, fairways and greens were in good shape. Like many course since Covid the bunkers could use sand. Staff was friendly and courteous. Would have loved for pace of play to be better.
Nice Track, Great Layout
2nd time playing here. Nice layout, no sill holes. Course conditions were first rate and staff was helpful and friendly. Will be back on future trips to the area!
Friendly and Fun
This was my third time playing here but it had been awhile. Forgot how much I enjoy it! Everyone I met from the staff to the couple who joined me were friendly and helpful, especially the starter, Randy. That guy has a lot of personality! The layout is so interesting and the conditions were great. My ball seemed to roll out very well, which is a bonus for a short hitter like myself. And thankfully when I missed a fairway, the grass/gravel was easy to hit from. The greens were large and pretty fast. Just wish I could’ve replayed the par 5’s - I somehow double-bogeyed them all! Finished right around 4 hours to a beautiful sunset view on 18. Thanks Lone Tree. I’ll look forward to my next visit.

Good Value, Good Condition
Nice staff and lounge area. Course was in good condition with very wide fairways and not too many hazards placed along the way. Golf carts were very nice but lacked GPS. All in all a fun course to play without too many challenges.
Nice course
The course is a fair challenge for intermediate golfers. Plenty long, the whites played 6k yards, which is enough for me.
The fairways and greens were impeccable. Nice range facility as well and a nice restaurant.
Overall a good experience.
Miserable Traps
Greens and fairways A, sand traps void of sand! Rate them D- .
Can’t play a normal sand bunker shot as it was hard pan with an 1/8” of dust and pebbles they should prorate green fees they’re that poor. ,it’s a shame as this is a nice course otherwise. Ive marshaled at both private and municipal courses in KC .
The waste areas were raked and looked poressionally maintained! The sand traps are neglected
I hope the course reaches out to me I’d love to resolve what the green fees they’re should have been or at least warn the patron of trap conditions.
Sand traps
Desperately need to improve the condition and quality of traps
Beautiful day
Greens were in great condition and pace of play was right at 4 hours.
Had a fun round
Course is in great condition, greens were rolling well and a bit tricky. Not a flat or desert course; rolling hills with water and bunkers to avoid. Played with some nice people, thanks again Tom! Group ahead was a little slow. Finished a half past 4 hours
Great Round except….
The course is in perfect condition. The pro shop staff are absolutely wonderful, I forgot my shoes and needed to buy some new ones and the wonderful lady in the pro shop gave me a discount on the shoes and I never asked for it. I greatly appreciated that, she went above and beyond to make sure I had a great day of golf. Pace of play was great, except that the ranger kept telling our group to hurry up even though we had a hole between us and the group behind us. He wanted us to be right behind the group in front of us waiting on them to hit there next shot. Needless to say we kept our pace the same and still finished the round in 3 hours and 35 minutes. Love the course highly recommend.
Overbooked, Course Marshall irritating
Course was in great shape, club house, bar and starter staff wonderful. Course Marshall was a different story. We were an intermediate threesome and the first time he asked us to pick up a half a hole pace we did to then sit behind a foursome for the next two tee boxes. The second time we had just hit our first drive of hole 10 after stopping for drinks and the restroom at the turn and he approached us again. I let him have it this time. The course is not cheap and should be at a pace that is enjoyable to play.
Fun Track! Great Staff
We are based out of Gilbert AZ, Lone tree is just down the road. The course is in great shape and their greens are consistently sone of the best around! The staff from pro shop to bev cart are awesome. Friendly and professional every time. Post round beer on the patio is highly recommended.
