Trump National Golf Club

This course is a must-play, especially if you live in SoCal. Try to get a deal, though, because it’s insanely expensive. Course layout and greens were a lot of fun to navigate through, especially while being pleasantly distracted by the amazing ocean views.

There were cart path only holes on the front nine which made for a lot of hill walking and a slower play. Even though I exceeded my steps for the day, I wish we had advanced warning on that when we began our round. A person used to driving up to their ball would find that difficult.

All in all, it was a wonderful morning playing golf on this memorable course.

Beautiful course but Súper super slow. And no one from the staff ever went out to check on the pace.

What an amazing day. Perfect weather and staff was very accomodating. They moved me up 30 minutes to play solo. The course is in ideal shape. The greens are rolling very smoothly and in certain spots are very quick. You really need to play attention to where the pins are with all of the ridges and slopes. The fairways were a little wet so be careful digging too deep with your shots. The tees were good and the bunkers were surprising good without the rakes. Not very windy and thus played a little easier this afternoon. Driving range staff is very nice and Manny offered great course knowledge advice.

Tight, undulating fairways make for interesting lies.

Difficult to impossible to recover if your tee shot is off the fairway.

Greens are small and complex. Air mailing the green will normally result in a lost ball.

Cart access on to the fairways tend to be restricted compounding the dificulty in getting to the ball.

No assistance with bags to and from your car.

Epic everything! Really appreciate the American Flag so large you can see from every hole! God Bless the USA!!

First time playing here as it always was too expensive for regular play. The course was 2 weeks removed from aerification but was in pretty good shape. The green complexes are very intersting and you have to play close attention to where the pin is and where you can miss the green. The front nine had some great holes with phenomenal views especially numbers 3 and 4. The greens were probably slower than normal after the punching but were consistently around a 8 or 9 on the stipmeter. This was good as it was very windy in the afternoon. The back nine had some quirky holes that were more penal if you are offline. The rough wasn't too bad and the tees were in good shape. The fairways were still recovering from the punching but should be good now. I recommend buying a yardage book for $10 not only as a keepsake but as it gives a better overall view of the holes. They also offer great aerial views of each hole on their website that is a great resource before going out to play. They offer 25 balls at the range with your round. Be prepared for a little wait to get a cart due to covid19 precautions. The cart staff will take you back and forth to the range as a service though. I look forward to the next time there as I have a better lay of the land.

Not worth the money. Played this course once with the under par deal, only worth it for 2 rounds for 2 at $300 all in. Now they are charging an additional $60 per person for the 2nd round. Either you have too much $ or are an idiot to pay the price for this course. Even with the deal it’s not worth it, just an honest review from a reasonable low handicap golfer.

Golf Now mentioned aeration but not to the extent of the condition this course was in. There should have been nobody out playing on this course especially for $135 per person.

The greens had just been sanded and the fairways for the most part looked the same.

I don’t blame the course for this. I blame Golf Now.
