Los Verdes Golf Course

This course is typically great and I understand given the late tee time that it would get busy…but pace of play was pretty bad. They were 20-30 minutes behind on tee time which compounded largely because players were playing multiple balls per hole. Still a great course but I’d think twice about booking afternoon tee times again.

I have traveled throughout the nation and world playing golf courses. The course was fantastic for the cost and the views were amazing. The downside, I have never played a course with such slow pace of play. Unfortunately, starting at 4 PM, I was not able to finish 18 holes and only played 12 in almost nearly four hours. There was no course management to keep the pace of play for those that paid to play a full a 18. I would recommend teeing off early and expect to play a 5 1/2 to 6 hour round

Great course in an amazing location right next to the Palos Verdes Peninsula.

The greens were great. Fairways ok and the bunkers were terrible, packed sand and poorly maintained. All in all decent conditions and worth the money.

Very nice course and staff with best cost performance.

Started early and on time. Just no ambassadors to move the beginners on the course along. 40 mins longer than the average.

Absolutely splendid Muni Course. However challenging. Ocean Winds pick up and die on an instant. Greens might make you wanna give up golf. No pun intended. Keeping ball in fairways without options. Anything outside is a lost cause. Other than that I can’t stand this game! I Love this game! ⛳️😎

Greens are about the only good thing about the place. But back 9 greens were slower than the front.

I can’t believe the blue tee on 6 is basically not being used, because too many hackers with big egos think they can hit from back there have sprayed too many into the houses so they have basically blocked off the back tee and moved it up to the white! Pathetic!

Today the SCGA had the Juniors play in a tournament here. So all the blue tee markers were either on the white or in front of it, except for 1 and barely 11.

So if anybody posted their scores today and said they played from the blues - well, they didn’t. So GHIN needs to take note of that and adjust everybody who played today, because they are LYING.

I play here once in a while. The course layout is enjoyable, but the fairway conditions are unfortunately in very poor shape.

The driving range balls are in terrible condition. Its all worn out that they don't have any dimples left, They're simply not worth paying for.

The greens are very tricky and sticky... it's challenging.

Also, keep your ball in the fairway. If your shot ends up in the rough, its gone. Someone took it.

Wknd rounds are also extremely slow, so be prepared for a long day on the course.
