Los Verdes Golf Course

First off, the course is one of the best muni courses. But the "ambassador" was a pain. We were constantly getting rushed on the front 9 while the group behind us was a hole behind us. Our pace of play was affecting no one all day except the hall monitor with not enough to do. back 9 was great b/c of his absence.

What’s a better way to spend than to be out here with the beautiful vistas of Catalina.

Great fairways and excellent staff. Pace of play sufffers but it’s about on par with other LA city courses

I have played this course on a weekday and it was a wonderful time. Great pace, great views, decent conditions and great value.

I played yesterday (Saturday) and left after the fourth hole. We were waiting for 35 minutes on every tee box. I had heard the rumors about this and didn’t believe them. Do not play here on the weekend, you won’t be playing golf, you’ll be standing around with an occasional few hits every 40 minutes.

Expect a 6 hour round, minimum. The course does not enforce pacing and it shows

Unfortunately 5 minute tee times and golfers who cannot hit the ball past the women’s tees and are always in the deep rough or adjacent fairly make for an painfully slow round even on a Monday 3 groups waiting at the second tee box. Started at 1:50 and finished just 12 holes in 3 hours 45 minutes. No course marshall but I really don’t think it would help. On the positive side the greens and bunkers are in great shape

I used to value my time playing this course even held scholarship tournaments here for 5 straight years. I wish the county put more resources in this gem. Fairways gone and rough now existent grass. Very easy to get back with a little of care and know how. Last time playing until I hear better.

I played on Sunday January 11 at 12:30pm and only got to the 15 hole. The front nine took an excruciating long 3 hours. Groups were stacked 2 deep on each hole. Also, the fairways were rough. Very dry and lots of weeds and rocks. Course management is slacking big time.

Love that it’s close to home. Spectacular sunsets. The site of many friends who got married. The range is really nice too

What a great place to play, course was a little slow but understandably, hard not to wanna just sit and enjoy the views. Conditions weren’t perfect but still the beauty made up for the imperfect lies. Tee boxes and greens were top notch.

I’ve played this course twice before and had good times, the layout, views, and greens are all usually great. However, today they put a group of 4 before us 5 minutes apart from our time randomly at the last minute. The starter says they do it random throughout the day to make more money…even though it negatively affects the experience for the four groups after. So we ended up teeing off 15 min later and our round ended up being 5.5 hours and almost didn’t finish with a 1:40pm tee off. Pretty greedy and ridiculous to do this to us and the groups behind us just to make another $100-$200: we had to wait on every single shot and some holes got backed up three groups to tee off. Terrible experience
