Bear Creek Golf Complex - Bear Course

We have played here many times over the last few winter seasons. Great low season rates. Excellent practice facility although the bunker has been too wet the last couple of times to use. Some of the golf carts need a tune up but they are much better than the ones they had prior to this year. Good number of people don’t know golf etiquette like not driving on par 3’s, don’t hit into group ahead, keep up pace of play, parking cart in wrong place when on green thus slowing down play. We tip $5 upon arrival at bag drop and the workers are keen to help however they aren’t as eager upon our return after the game to remove the bags from cart and carry them to pickup area. Maybe we need to split the tip to get that service?

First time I played this course! I had a great experience and everyone was super friendly and helpful!! Clubhouse staff were great and the pace of play was great!!

This has been one of our favorite courses to play!! Been coming here for a couple years now! We love how friendly everyone is and it’s just a blast here!

Very windy day so it made the round a little tough. In AZ not used to 20MPH winds

Seemed like many beginning golfers out there since many balls from other holes had balls in our fairway.

For playing at 1:30 and no starter or no Marshal visible on course, pace of play was horrible. When the group 4 ahead of you has gotten 4 holes behind the group in front of them, something or someone needs to address them and either push them up a hole or two. Hitting and then waiting on each and every shot for the last 16 holes made for a 4:50 round of golf that was brutal. 2 guys who worked at the course playing behind us couldn’t believe that nothing was done.

The greens are in nice shape and putt fairly quick, but in all my years I have never seen more ridiculous pin placements on 13 of the 18 holes. I found out after the round that the person who set the pins isn’t a golfer and this was his first time setting pins. It turned what should’ve been a fun family outing into an extremely frustrating event. It is unfortunate to pay good money for that kind of aggravation. The pro shop apologized but there was no remedy provided. No free round or discount for the next time.

no complaints about course. had issues with the app. was informed that when booking tee time you must confirm the conformation?

even though time was confirmed through app not so at the course. fortunately, the staff was able to correct this issue and we were given a time 30 minutes later.

Most staff very friendly. Starter/marshal explained about no driving in the desert etc but then approached us on the course rudely telling us not to drive in the desert-one wheel was in the dirt, other cart was 5ft off cart path to be out of the way looking for a ball on foot. Most tee boxes, fairways, greens were good. The rough is desert dirt. Bunkers could use sand. No shade trees. They removed water but there is beverage cart. Used to be in better shape, now there’s a lot of trash-marshals could help with that. Need to encourage patrons to fill divots.

The course was in great shape. Greens firm and fast. Narrow fairways makes this a difficult test. Would definitely play again.

Nice public golf course. We played in early April so it was still pretty dry with a fair amount of bald spots. It should get better when they start watering.

I play through the valley and always looking for a course that is reasonably priced, in good condition, fair pace of play and a nice layout. My game ranges from the low 80s to the high 80s. This course hit all my markers and will play again. It’s a course that has a lot of levels and elevation so playing at least once is an advantage. I liked the course. Rate was very fair for the valley in winter.

Really enjoyed the course. Greens were excellent. Fairly wide open but good value.
