Bear Creek Golf Complex - Cub Course
About
The Bear Creek Golf Complex offers two golf courses, one championship length course and one executive length course, the Cub Course. This sporty course is ideal for beginners and families. Like its sister course, the Bear Course, there are rolling fairways and well-manicured greens that have unique swales and collection areas. The design features five par 4s and the rest are par 3s, all of which vary in length. A round of golf on the Cub Course can be completed in less than three hours. The Bear Creek Golf Complex also boasts several practice facilities including a lighted driving range, two putting greens, and a short game area with a bunker.

Nice Exec course
A nice course to work on your shirt and mid game. A couple holes to Tee it up.
Best par 3 I played in Az
I played the Cub at Deer Creek in 2022 and found the course to be in fair shape. But this time I thought the course had improved considerably. All but one green was in excellent shape. One tee box was a bit crowned. Fairways were also in great shape. Tried to use the range and chipping green but could not get on either as they were full. My only complaint was one woman working in the pro shop heard me tell someone that I was from Illinois. She asked were and then said she's is from Illinois and can't understand why anyone would want to live there. I just responded, that's your prerogative. But I would not let that prevent me from playing at this course again..
Really like the cub course.
Great staff and course conditions.
Love that you can drive the carts anywhere except the greens. It keeps the game moving good.
A fun short course to hone your game. Greens and fairways very good shape. Lots of contour on greens to challenge you. Pace was great 31/2 hrs
Terrible Rental Clubs
A guest rented a set of “Left Handed Clubs” only to find the set had left handed driver and hybrids, irons had left and right handed in the bag and the putter was also right hand. We played earlier in the week at another course nearby in Chandler and the rentals were name brand and all for the left hand.
Will not play either of these courses again
Ok executive course. Good for beginners or juniors
Thought we had booked the regular length Bear Creek but disappointedly had not. Tee Off puts this Cub Course for the first pick when you’re doing a booking.
Good course for beginners or juniors.
Value course
Not a good golf course for a low-handicap golfer. This is good for high-handicap players.
