Coldwater Golf Club

The course has a lot of potential, but needs some work. Way too much hard dry pan with tons of rocks, if you are not on the fairway which has grass for the most part, but is long like rough, but playable. The rough is very little grass, mostly crab grass patches, besides that its hard dry dirt or rocks which really takes away the fun. The course has some potential to be much better, there are a couple of par 3's that you can't see the green, it would be better to put a big bunker in front of those greens so you can see the greens. But the bunkers are also all hardpan without sand. The Carts are good, the staff are very pleasant. I don't know if there problem is not enough water supply to grow grass where needed, and I don't mind some desert scape just not everywhere. It doesn't currently look like to photos online. If it did it would be much better. The greens were good as far a roll, they have what looks like some weed or different grass all throughout but the roll was good and it was fun to play a course with greens with break and challenge. Add some more green side bunkers with SAND and more grass as mentioned and you will attract more people.

It has been many years since I last played here. I had some great times on this course. It seems the years have not been good to it which is very unfortunate. While the fairways and greens were in pretty decent shape, the overall conditions and facilities look terrible. I’ve not seen so many players in T shirts, jeans, and tennis shoes since the municipal days. If they put some focus into manicuring this property it would help a lot. Went in to clubhouse at 4pm to play extra nine and the gentleman in pro shop was like “no, we are about to leave.” There is still 3 1/2 hours of good daylight and they had a tee sheet I could book til 5. Unfortunate, I’m sure his management would be proud.

Course is in poor condition. Was disappointing as it is a nice layout. Pace of play slow, was a 5 hour round.

The day was great. we played in under 4 hours so that was nice. They must by getting ready to do some overseeding because a lot of the fairways and tee boxes had been ground up like they are getting ready to overseed. However, it was another great day on the course.

Driving range really needs some work it was pretty bad I hate hitting off of mats and the rubber tees were broke or missing not a good value for the cost of the range balls
