Coldwater Golf Club
About
Located in the West Valley, the championship-length course at the Coldwater Golf Club boasts several different challenges for an interesting round of golf. There are elevated tees as well as several dry washes. There are two lakes providing water hazards on the golf course as well. There are also dramatic elevation changes caused by the mountainous terrain. Aside from the challenging game, the course also offers beautiful mountain vistas. The course has not only one signature course but two. The first is the modest eighth hole. Although it is short at 100 yards, it features an elevated tee and a triple-tiered green. Coldwater Golf Club also finishes with a signature hole. The beginning tee shot plays to an open fairway over water with a dry wash to the left, while the approach shot is closed-in by another wash to the left and a lake to the right.

Better than expected!
Had a great day at Coldwater. Teed off at 5:36 am and enjoyed an open course. The sprinklers got in the way a few times and the fairways were quite soggy on some holes, but I just moved my ball to a better lie and we were good.
The greens were actually in exceptional shape. Rolled true, flat, and very consistent. I was very impressed.
I never expect an amazing course when I come here so we can’t be too hard on the course. For the price and for the good shape of the greens, I’d say this was an excellent day and a great course.
Nice greens
My first time playing here and early morning tee time allowed me a fairly quick round playing alone. The best feature of this course are the greens which are in excellent condition. Sand traps could use some tlc as well as the tee boxes, but they aren't unplayable, and they are set up with great line of sight to the fairways and flag.
If you keep your shots straight, or close enough, the fairways are in good playing condition. But if you hit off line you're gonna be in some unfriendly areas. Overall, the price is right and being a 20 handicap, I enjoyed the course and will try to go out there again soon.
Sunday Morning Swing Fest – 6am Edition
Just four brave souls chasing birdies before sunrise – what could go wrong? We teed off at the ungodly hour of 6am (coffee still kicking in around hole 4), but check-in was a breeze. Quick transaction, carts loaded, and we were off like pros… who hadn’t practiced.
The weather? Surprisingly pleasant. Compared to the swampy sauna from a few weeks ago, this was practically paradise. A few muddy spots tried to sabotage us, but nothing serious enough to require lifeguards or ball relocation.
As expected, the front 9 was a warm-up (that’s our story and we’re sticking to it). Swings were rusty, fairways elusive, and the golf gods were clearly still asleep. But shoutout to the group behind us for their patience – either they didn’t mind the struggle, or they were just enjoying the show.
The back 9? That’s when we remembered how to golf. Clubs connected, putts dropped, confidence bloomed. It was a classic glow-up moment for all of us.
Course was in decent shape, pace was solid, and the early start meant we were done in time for second breakfast. We’ll definitely be booking here again – just maybe with a little warm-up next time. Or not. Where’s the fun in that?
Pace of play was good through hole 9
The begin to have slow play from holes 11 through 18
Tee boxes needs work. Most were uneven.
Slow play
The play was pretty slow today 2 hours 45 minutes to play nine holes the only bright spot is the cart girl very friendly
Horrible Course
Trash all over the course, greens brown and dry fairways overgrown and tee boxes not maintained well at all
Looks like this course has given up on maintenance
Poor conditions
Coldwater is a disaster. The rough is very rough rocks in the bunkers, trash, dead birds. Gopher or ground squirrels holes everywhere so watch your ankles.
The greens were the best condition but furry and slow. The pace of play was ok cause there is no one out there. Range balls were chewed up and damaged. I have coming out 1-2 time per year cause it's cheap and not a horrible layout. I won't be back! Hope they can get the course back to a reputable municipal.
Great track for the money
I thought this was a really decent course. You can tell that they are battling some thin spot and those little pocket gopher, but it looks like they're making good headway. The greens are in great condition. A little shaggy but part of the regrowing process, I think. 15 out of 18 tee boxes are flat and in decent shape. The driving range was closed when I played which was a little disappointing, but not that big of a deal. I teed off at 6:30am. Finally caught up with the old man 4some on hole 6and they finally let me play through on #8 when I basically got out of the cart and walked onto the tee box while they're 3rd was still teeing off. Then I caught the group in front of them on #10 and, through the same process they begrudgingly let me play through on #12. Never saw another soul for the rest of the round.
I think this course is going to be a hidden gem real soon. Ground crew deserves a pat on the back.
Greens are slow, but in decent shape. Fun course overall.
No cart girl
Only complaint was we didn’t see the cart girl until the end the 18th hole when we where finish for the day.
Good Golf for Price
The course has the rough that is ridiculously long in some areas. Made it difficult to locate a golf ball just off the fairway.
$32!!!!
Can’t complain too much about a $32 round. Finished the round just under 4hrs (happy about that), and that was playing with 2 beginners. I’ve seen the course in better conditions but it wasn’t bad. Got crap from a little privileged, snarky, pouty faced kid to play faster but F him. Would have let them play through if it he didn’t try to stare me down. Wasn’t the courses fault. Some people’s kids…
