Copper Canyon Golf Club - Vista/Lake Course
About
The course at Copper Canyon Golf Club is deceptively exclusive in that although the club has prestige and a luxurious atmosphere, there are some reasonably priced tee times. The layout features an interesting mix of holes that offer panoramic views of the White Tank Mountains to the south. The large, undulating greens that are framed by generous fairways are the trademark of the course. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are also sand bunkers situated throughout. This golf course offers four sets of teeboxes. Copper Canyon Golf Club has extensive practice facilities for golfers to use as well, including a full length driving range with several target greens, a large practice putting green, and a short game area with a bunker.

Beautiful Course, great condition
Copper Canyon is a great place to tee it up. Tremendous condition including bunkers. Greens were outstanding. Very friendly staff.
Construction around the clubhouse underway in some areas but still not much of a distraction. Building new homes around the course as well.
Nice course, wonderful staff.
Very friendly and helpful staff here. Everyone I spoke to was helpful and pleasant. I swear they treated me like I was a member even though this was the first time I have ever played here.
The course was in good shape for summer time in AZ. It is reasonably open with houses lining some of the fairways. There are rocks and gravel separating the homes from the fairways that you do not want to go into.
I don't know why but a lot of the holes did not suit my eye. I think it was because there are sand traps on the left and right on most holes about where you'd hit your tee shot. I generally like to eliminate one side or the other. I could not do that as easily here as some other courses. You really need to stripe your tee shot. I struggled a bit on the front 9 before I finally figured out it is easier to just hit up to or around the 150 stake and take your second shot from there.
The greens were like putting on carpet. Very smooth. They were a touch slower than I am used to probably because they were softer and smoother than other courses. The breaks were a lot more subtle and did not break as far as I thought they would. A lot of the greens were raised and generally had a bunker or three guarding them. There is water on the course, but it really only comes into play on a couple of holes.
Eureka, the best and smoothest greens in the Valley.
We were impressed with this decade old golf course way out in the boondocks of NW Buckeye, Arizona.
This is a Troon managed course and it shows it.
The real Pro in the pro shop was Jim who's been here for eight years.
He was very helpful in a low-key way.
Tom the starter was excellent and knowledgeable.
Lisa in the Snack Shop was great.
This course is in excellent condition with tee boxes, fairways, and greens in pristine condition.
This layout was designed for senior golfers in a retirement community. The wide fairways and large greens hide some very deceptive undulating and curving greens that are far more challenging than most of the top rated courses in the Phoenix area.
All the plants and vegetation are in great condition. The entire course is maintained
perfectly and it's very attractive. The use of crushed red gravel as for mulching accents
all over the course is impressive.
This course has to be the dark horse for best course in the Valley that we played this trip.
Very nice!!!!
Loved the layout... fantastic fairways... greens receptive on good shots and rolled nicely.
One " request" would be to replace the flags with true " red/white/blue".
The white " checkered"flags with very small amount of the colors were VERY hard to see.
Unless we were really close to the green no one in my group could determine if they were front/ middle/ back pins.
Just a nice solid flag would be nice.
Anyways... great course!!
Long way out of Phoenix but worth it.
Course is located in a residential community so holes lined with homes. Course conditions were good, undulating greens that rolled nicely. Just a few holes with character so the greens are the challenge. Bunkers good, pebble sand/stone, so club slides through nicely.
Round would have been more enjoyable if winds weren't 30mph but I enjoyed the experience and a good value.
Nice setup
Every hole was laid out nicely. Greens were in great condition and the weather was perfect.
Course is in good shape. Had a tough time reading the greens too many undulations. Very challenging. First time playing the course and the course won.
A good $55 course
The course is fine, well maintained, slow greens, but you are out in the middle of nowhere. For $55 this would have been a good deal, for $85 plus taxes not so much. Limited bathroom facilities, have to pay for a water if you don't bring your own container.
Great Course in Excellent Condition
This course was in great condition. Fairways looked like carpet and greens fantastic shape. Played with two locals and had a great day. Course is somewhat resortish but still interesting enough and requires different shots. I'd definitely play this course again.
Final four gold
Great course for a Friday afternoon round of golf. Crowded courses in Scottsdale so come out west and play Copper Canyon. Very enjoyable.
Excellent Course
Played this course on a very windy and wet day, yet still I consider it one of my favorite courses and want to go back and play again. The entire course is in excellent shape from the greens to the rough and beyond. It is not a super long course, but it is challenging and there are many bunkers to be found. The warm up area is great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I am not from the area, but cannot wait to go back and play this course again.

Very nice course, great layout. Bunkers could use some additional sand.
Fairways Excellent
First time playing this course and it was a great experience. I played with club members (Bob, Beth and Jeff ) they made me feel very welcome. Very busy club fairways were in excellent condition, greens were a little sandy but very playable. Staff great but not excellent. I would recommend this course.
Hidden Gem
Worth the drive! 2nd time playing this course. The layout is forgiving but interesting. I could see where someone that is a 5 index or better would think it's too easy. I like the layout better than TPC Scottsdale-Stadium & Southern Dunes. SD & CC were both designed by Schmidt Curley. It was in better shape this summer than yesterday. Greens were slow & bumpy due to rain. I particularly like the par 5 12th. We played as a foursome in 3h 40m!
No forgiveness
The coarse was in great shape but not real fair to the average joe. Most of the fairways are corundum and if you are not dead center accurate then your going to roll off the fairway into the rocks. You defiantly need to bring a rock club with you or you will tear your clubs to pieces. Everything else was fine and beautiful but a flat layout on the most part. You can really tell this is a club style coarse because all the fancy members drive the ATV's to the club and they get all the attention. Couples retreat....
Great value
The course has a great layout. Challenging for the average player. Greens had been arratred and sanded, but to be expected this time of year. Lots of sand traps.
Great course
Great course. The greens had been aerated and sand added. It made putting very difficult. Otherwise great.
