The course at Copper Canyon Golf Club is deceptively exclusive in that although the club has prestige and a luxurious atmosphere, there are some reasonably priced tee times. The layout features an interesting mix of holes that offer panoramic views of the White Tank Mountains to the south. The large, undulating greens that are framed by generous fairways are the trademark of the course. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are also sand bunkers situated throughout. This golf course offers four sets of teeboxes. Copper Canyon Golf Club has extensive practice facilities for golfers to use as well, including a full length driving range with several target greens, a large practice putting green, and a short game area with a bunker.

Relatively plain for a Troon course

Course was in good condition but none of the holes were really beautiful like a typical Troon course...we might go back but most likely not. Houses packed the fairways and the dessert spaces weren't interesting or very well landscaped. It felt like it was set up as a resort course so you couldn't possibly lose your ball. Good for pace of play but bland.

Beautiful Condition

A very pretty course in excellent condition with top notch practice facilities. Fairways are quite wide so this is a good course to work on one's driver. Greens were in top condition but somewhat difficult to putt due to undulations and I believe overseeding with rye or a rye/poa hybrid. My putting stats have been bad ever since the courses over seeded in the fall. Putts just don't seem to break how you think. And everyone knows that Poa is probably the worse surface to putt on. Over seeded rye can be sticky. The dormant grass was a surprise as usually it provides little resistance to the club head but here a couple of chips in the dormant grass around the greens just stopped the club head in its tracks. Definitely will play this course again.

Worth the drive

One of the most enjoyable golf courses to play in the valley area. Greens were in very good condition fast & true. Good test for every level of golfer in our group but will not beat you up if you mishit a shot.Pace of play was steady but we were not pushed, finished in 4 hours. Great practice facility, range & putting green.Really like playing at Copper Canyon. I would highly recommend you play this course.

WELL WORTH THE DRIVE

We played from the tips and at over 6800 yards it was a very good test of golf.A definite challenge with some very long par fours.A good blend of fairways, bunkers and undulating greens. The staff was very friendly and the scenery was great,I was paired with two other guys with single digit handicaps which made for an enjoyable round. The only downside is that it is a pain to get to for anyone living on the east side of Phoenix.Still it is well worth the drive to play this course.I would definitely recommend this couse.

overpriced

I have not played here in about a year, (not 100% sure of the actual date) for the following reasons. For a course very out of the way and just average as far as being "memorable" your costs are WAY out of line. The. course is nice and fun but you are not a country club with exclusive rights. If you want players to come out get your pricing in line and offer some deals. $62 at 2 pm on Golf Now is rediculas. Come on MAN!

Good setup and excellent clubhouse

Slow round, but was a two ball behind a four ball. Nice course, with good speed on the greens. Medium handicappers.

WoW, very nice course

This course is very nice, and I agree with all other reviews saying this course is 5 stars. The grass is super green and in pristine condition from tee box, to fairways, to greens. Fairway bunkers are present on many holes. The greens rolled good and fast but not to fast. Most fairways are wide and unless you really hook or slice you should have no problem landing in fairways. Great mix of holes. Some long, some difficult, some beautiful. The staff was friendly but I think thrown off by me cause Im younger than the average golfer playing here and looked me up and down a bit but were all very nice. I ended up chatting with the guy who washed my clubs for about 10 min after I played. Range balls are included. Copper canyon is worth the drive out west and I feel is a must play.

Every hole looks so good, but a real challenge!

Cart path only, course looked so beautiful,I should have been taking pictures all day! What a day it was, playing from the Copper I shot a 39 on the front, eagled the signature hole #12 and parred the 18th for another 39/ 78. I had a very good day!

Best retirement neighborhood course in the west valley.

Every time I play this course it is in great condition even in the middle of the summer. The greens always hold a well hit approach shot and still roll fast and true. Best retirement neighborhood golf course in the west valley, hands down. Definitely worth the long drive out west!

Great Course during every season

Copper Canyon is definitely my favorite course anywhere near the west side. The greens are better than anywhere else on the west side. The only complaint I had playing this time was that some of the bunkers were lacking sand. If it were not for this-I would have given 5 stars.

Nines

The front nine was interesting and challenging. The back has long drives between tees and really does not seem to be part of the course. The designer missed the boat on the design of this course. Staff was super friendly.
