The greens were in real good shape and the course overall was decent. The bunkers were filled with thick and heavy dirt or muddy but if you hit it in a bunker you should be penalized I suppose. Lots of fun and a good deal for the money.

the course is playing pure right now. greens are in great shape, fairways are dry but what would you expect in a drought. I would play this track soon while the others are still punching their greens. Enjoy!

The weather is perfect this time of year (Oct). The most challenging part of this course are the greens, very fast and nothing near straight. There are no sure things outside of 2 1/2 feet.
Plenty of open fairways for the hacker, but definite advantages to the target golfer who can hit the favorable side.
Being in SoCal, the fairways are pretty dry and hard, which allows for more roll.
Par 3s typically have a few bunkers around them that make accuracy a definite advantage.

Nice mild day with the cloud cover. Personal able staff. Pretty open except for the threesome ahead of us. I joined as a single and the two I was with stop after nine. Joined the threesome ahead of me playing the tips two of them good enough third was having trouble off of tee. Read the tips on score card for hitting the proper shots. Ball seems to carry further up here and rolls nice on fairways and greens. Had a couple of drives hit dead center only to roll off the fairway. Funny thought that someone was moving my ball.
Shot 74 three birdies knowing the bounces will help me next time I play here. Lol

The course was very good shape fpr this time of year. The greens had visual evidence of a recent airation, but the greens were ture. Will certainly be going back.

Had a good time playing this course for the first time. Some of the fairways were a bit dead in places (but I think most courses in san diego are). The greens, however were in pretty poor shape. They were extremely bumpy and inconsistent.

This course has made remarkable recovering from were it was just acouple of years ago. The greens were in great shape. Fairways were fine with very few bald spots. The sand taps were very good (spent a lot of time in them so I can fairly judge them).

I would like to test my new driver and it was quite well cource choosed!

Course was well kept, beautiful overall. The greens were punched so it made putting difficult - but that is a part of the game.

Only complaint is that they did not have any water out on the holes to stay hydrated - they were filling them about the time we were on the 14th hole. So I suggest if you are playing an early round to make sure you bring your own water to stay hydrated.

Maybe all the courses in California or like this. I am just down here on vacation. But besides the greens nothing else was watered very well. The first 20 to 50 yards on every fairway was dead. Even some of the tea boxes were dead and different lengths to use were sharing the same boxes. The staff was friendly the value was good and I shot the low score in my group. I believe the course would be very nice if they were to water more

Greens sanded. Fairways need water. Course has really gone downhill in the last year.

I'm a local in San Diego but rarely go south to play... Last time I played here was maybe 4 years ago and it was a wonderful course, fairways, T boxes, greens, lakes... all beautiful... I'd say the only down side I could remember was that the "clubhouse" was made of a couple "double wides"... but I figured they were temporary... and as the course as wonderful I really did not care.

Played yesterday... OMG... I'd heard they were having water rights issues... man... it looks like they have NO water. The T boxes are horrific, the first 50+ yards of most fairways are now just dirt... not dead grass mind you... but actual DIRT and ROCKS... Its extremely sad to see a project like this dying as it is... and IT IS... its like amours that needs to be shot.

I'm sorry... Golf Courses are businesses and I this one for what ever reasons (we do live in a dessert and water is always an issue) this course is in horrific shape. Staff is great... but I'll never play here again... its so bad that it will take an infusion of 5-10 Million to bring it back from the dead...

Golfnow did not inform me that the back nine was closed (same for others I played with), so I drove 25 min to fins out that I could not play the back nine.

Course was dry, but greens ok. I still wish I knoew that 9 holes were closed.

Course was a great value. I brought my spouse and two others for their first game of golf. Several holes were a bit tricky for beginners and the wind on the course can add a challenge as well. NO BEER cart service at all, and a rule of no coolers. If I can't have water/beer in my own cooler then have some service to provide it. Overall good value still and I would play here again.

Right Fairways, nice greens. Interesting layout - some strategy required off the tee. Fun for multi handicaps.

poor conditions mainly due to lack of grass/water although the greens were well maintained.
several holes have extreme roll off (some unexpected).

This course has a nice layout and the views are incredible. The fairways can be deceiving, everything rolls to the right! I would definitely recommend this course to a friend!

Great track! Above average value for the money. Play early and avoid the twilight crowd. Nice pro shop guy. 20 minutes from Seaport Village/Marina area.

Title sums it up. Group in front was moronic, drinking,and putting out 6 inch putts. Course in decent shape with very nice greens.
