Shadow Hills Golf Club

A very fun and fair course that gets more challenging depending on the tees you choose to play. Greens were very fast but ran true.

I have experienced slow play at this course before, but not to this extent. I understand there are many seniors and new or less skilled players on the course. But pace of play should be recognized, by players and course Marshall, who is not to be seen past the 1st hole. It took us 3 hours to complete 10 holes. At that points we drove back to the clubhouse. There were 4 groups on 10 when we played and 4 groups on10 when we drove back to the clubhouse. We were looking at 5 hours to finish. Please address this situation, Player assistance need to get people moving. I will be looking at other options

I am sorry but when it takes 2 hours to play the first 6 holes that kind of ruins a round. We waited on every hole there was three groups waiting to tee off at end of round. People were just quiting saying they ran out of time. Four groups on a par 5! They need marshals it is so cheap to keep the pace up but you have to do right from the start of day. I won’t go back until they have marshals

We played and the tees, fairways , greens, and traps in great shape. Rest of the place is brown and relatively unmanned by grounds people. Wind makes this place tough but think it’s a bargain if you play after 2 and can Finnish.

We had a tee time of 12;00 noon. We finished the 6th hole at 2pm, yes 2 hours to play 6 holes! It was wait on every hole sometimes we had 2 groups waiting behind us as we waited on the tee box. Until they marshal this course and keep the players moving I would try somewhere else. It took 5 hours and 15 minutes to finish the round, which I think is about an hour too long. Having to wait at every hole is uncalled for. Have a marshal and give him free golf it is a cheap way to keep folks happy and enjoy the game. We had four groups on a par 5. Nice course but the 8 minute intervals are too close if they are not going to keep folks moving.

Course was in good condition around the greens and tee boxes, very few bare spots in the fairways. Way too many bunkers! They are also very penalizing due to the unusually high sides whether in the fairways or around the greens. You need to play it a few times to get the feel of how to manage oneself around the course. Best enjoyed by low to low-mid handicappers.

First time at this lovely Troon course which is in very good shape with powerful enough carts.

However, pace of play was very slow, we think due to too short interval between tee times. We started at 1:30pm but after 4.5 hours were waiting again on 16 when it got too cold, dark and windy to play, so we skipped the last two holes.

Hope to come back and play when there is a faster pace of play, so we will ask what the # of minutes is before we book again. We think it was 6 minutes between foursomes when we played and that is not sufficient for a good pace of play.

Nothing too exotic in design etc, but good track and fun holes with good speed on greens.

First time here! Course was very brown around the edges, and loaded with waste bunkers and traps.

I think it was the designers attempt at sloping the course to a higher number than would be typical of a relatively flat landscape. Fairways and tee boxes were green…..everything else was very brown. I prefer a more lush and green course, but….I know some love the desertscape.

Played the white tees….6100 yds+-. Some of the holes are very long par 4s….and require a 250 drive to make the green in regulation. If that’s not you….play the combo tees, lr green to keep your confidence.

Paid $101.00 for the round incl cart and range balls. Not terrible, but….$65.00-$70.00 would be more appropriate.

Terra Lago North is a very similar feel, more challenging layout, and I pay $68.00?

It was very cold the day we golfed so hard to judge. Also a shotgun start which was a little confusing. I am an older guy and a little too far between washrooms.

I signed up for a 12:30 tee time and was surprised by a huge line up of golfers surprised by a shotgun start they did not agree to. We got off around 1:15. Course was well kept and very playable. Great shape. Good length.

No drink cart on the course which was disappointing.

Worth playing.
