Shadow Hills Golf Club

I come down to the desert several times a year to play. Good value, not and eye candy course but great for a practice round. I was paired with some members and they were super nice. Friendly staff too. Overall enjoyable round. First time playing this course and if the price is right I will probably play it again.

Course is in great condition. The only complaint would be the course marshal was out of line yelling and getting aggressive with one of the players in our group for parking his cart off the path. Amazing they didn’t come to fisticuffs.

The course was in great shape. Greens were fast and challenging. Pace of play was good.

Perfect course.fairways were perfect . A lot of sand and water.

Everything was awesome , if I had something bad to say , the only real thing that bothered me was the residents just jump on and slow the pace of the game . And we payed to play ,

The course was closed due to the current pandemic so I’m hoping to to have my green fees refunded

Pro shop personnel were quite abrupt when I checked in . When I booked tee time not informed of shotgun. Due to torrential rain the previous day about 5 holes were extremely flooded which we placed as par 3s or short par 4s.None of this was mentioned when I checked should have been given discounted green fee or a chance to cancel but I guess the money is more important than customer service , will not be returning to this course.

This course is laid out nicely. The reason I know is that I had ample time to study each and every aspect of the course because we waited painfully for five or ten minutes on every shot.

The first six holes took two hours at which point we called the pro shop. They said they’d send out a Marshall. Yep, the Marshall showed up checking his clipboard- only to announce “”the course is playing on pace”. What does that mean? We just played a 2 hour and 45 minute nine hole round. Is that the expected pace of play? If so, COUNT ME OUT! They were kind enough to issue a nine hole rain check, but at this pace, who wants to play????

Course was in great shape. Greens were smooth and rolled well.

It can be tough when it’s windy. Staff was very friendly. I appreciate it when we can load our clubs into the car after our round by taking the cart to our car. Staff then took the carts back to clubhouse. I will play it again.

The course is ok, but the pace yesterday was quite slow, many slow golfers on course I can tell. Marshalls were around but didn’t really push forward the pace. The front 9 is ok, but back 9 fairways were not in good conditions. One thing to note is that the green is very difficult. Fast green with a lot of hidden breaks, so be careful.

As a former member of the PGA, I am a little critical of this course. Far too much sand in the bunkers, too many high lips on bunkers. Almost half of the greens are too severe, with too many undulations and false fronts. Whoever sets the pins needs to be re-trained. You should never place a pin on the top of a mound, with severe breaks 360 around the cup, or less than 10’ from any edge. Grass is too short on the fairways requiring more maintenance. 10th fairway is atrocious.

The greens, tee off boxes and fairways are in good shape. It’s a straightforward course with good bunker placements and some long par threes. Really enjoyed

Beautiful course in terrific condition. Greens are fast, tees are nice and fairways in good shape. Not easy course, but fair.

Enjoyed playing this course. In overall good condition. What was interesting was that this course organizes two shot gun starts. My tee-off was 12:30. Saw all the players and thought this was going to be a long day. Thought this much like a golf tournament. I was presently surprised. Finished round in under 4hours. The club starter made sure everything moved at a reasonable pace. Very friendly staff.
